ELAC Members needed!

On behalf of the school and its staff, we encourage you to become involved in your child’s school programs and activities. One way is by participating as a member on the English Learner Advisory Committee. This committee advocates for the English Learner students at Green elementary. Parents of English Learners are highly encouraged to participate. There are 3 open seats available for the 2021-22 school year. Please fill out the information below to be part of the committee or to get more information.

How to Read Reports and Assessments

Parents, guardians, and family members, please join us for a session on better understanding special education assessments and reports. We will focus on different types of assessments, how they can help you and other members of the IEP team make good decisions for your child, and how to interpret the results on your child's assessment reports.

Covid-19 and Influenza Testing

Our COVID-19 and Influenza screening testing program is available each week on Wednesdays between 11:00am to 6:30pm at Will Rogers Bollinger Gym parking lot. Screening testing is available to the LESD community, including students, parents, and staff. To learn more about our testing program, click here.

School Device Coverage

Have a school-issued chromebook or iPad? Consider purchasing a protection plan! Coverage includes: accidental damage, cracked screen, liquid submersion, fire, flood, and loss/theft. For more information and to sign up, visit schooldevicecoverage.com/signup or call 1-888-978-3515.


Additionally, if you have a district-issued internet hotspot that you are no longer using, please return it to your school computer technician so that we can place it back into our inventory.

Few Reminders & Recommendation

Here are a few reminders/recommendation for parents:

  • Put your childs name on ALL of their belongings

  • No toys or game cards are allowed in school (Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh/baseball cards etc)

  • We recommend our students to wear hats on really hot and sunny days, especially during PE (Mondays and Tuesday).

  • Bringing a water bottle that they can refill in the “Hydration Station”.

  • Packing an extra mask just in case it rips or gets dirty.
