Principal's Message
Dear Families and Caregivers,
I hope your family has settled into good routines and the rhythm of school is feeling both positive and manageable. I recognize that everyone is busy, and yet I am really proud of your students and our staff. Thank you for taking the time to read our weekly newsletter.
One of the goals we have as a district is to stay focused on student experience. We want our students to feel happy and proud. We have had many happy and proud moments so far this school year and we are looking forward to many more. One of my happiest moments is coming up on October 4 - Color Dash! Our PTA has done a wonderful job of supporting our students and staff this year. This event is so much fun. I hope to see you there.
Fall Conferences are going live this afternoon and we want to make sure you get signed up. We have only two of these opportunities a year. These are really important times for us to connect with you. We are excited to share the progress your student is making and partner with you this year. Please make sure to sign up.
Sincerely,
Kelly

**Please remember we have Early Release every Wednesday at 1:30 pm. If you need to arrange for alternate pick-up for your child, please call the office by 1:00 pm.
Stay up-to-date with the Eccles calendar via our website or the Canby School District calendar page.
Conferences will take place the week of October 16-19, and you can get signed up now. Visit PTCFast.com and follow the prompts to register with your child’s teacher—or multiple students can be done at the same time. If you have questions or concerns about availability or accessibility, please reach out to your student’s teacher via Remind.
Arrival Reminders
Please do not park in the bus parking lane, even when you do not see buses parked. With our two sections of preschool we have bus pick-up and drop-off throughout the day.
Also, please do your best to get your students to school at 7:45 and no later than 7:55. We want students to have a calm start to their day and that begins with being in class and ready when the 8:00 bell rings. If you arrive at 8:00 am or later, please have your student check in to the office and walk themselves down to their classroom. Once the 8:00 bell has rung, our teachers are teaching and we want students to join the learning in session as quietly and efficiently as possible.
Thank you for your help!

Health Curriculum
In June 2023, the Canby School District board approved the adoption of a new health curriculum. You will be getting a letter from your child's teacher about the Great Body Shop. Click here to learn more about Health instruction.
Here are visual instructions for families who would like to access the digital curriculum in the Great Body Shop.
There's Still Time to Order!
Picture day was a great success this week. If you were not able to order ahead of picture day or forgot your packet, don't worry, there's still time! Visit mydorian.com, search for our school, and click on the green 'Order' button or yellow 'Help' button. There is a 'Place a Late Order' video to help walk you through it.
You can order online for up to four (4) days after picture day.
Meals at School
Your children may qualify for free or for reduced-price meals! If you plan to have your child eat school-provided breakfast or lunch, please fill out a Meal Application online.
- If you have qualified in the past, you need to re-qualify as soon as possible. There is not a 'grace' period this year.
For additional information click here and to fill out an application click here. Oregon is working hard to assist families by expanding the income guidelines to determine eligibility. Many families who don't think they will qualify, do! Check it out!
