Reading Buddies
Mrs. Galligan’s third graders and Sra. Villarreal’s Kinders discussed what tolerance is and worked together to write a statement about what they thought tolerance is.
Then they drew a picture to represent tolerance.
Ms. Tobin’s 3rd grade class and Ms. Crystal’s Kindergarten buddy classes read the book, All Are Welcome and then they discussed tolerance.
Together the two classes worked on a page for a class book about tolerance.
There are only 14 days left until the January Open Enrollment deadline
We have received 257 OE applications so far for returning students - thank you to all who have completed this process.
There are 72 outstanding students who have not yet registered through OE for next year, let's get to zero.
Remember OE families have to complete this registration EVERY year.
Please click on this link to access the registration application or view the attached flyer below for more information.
Congratulations to Ventana Vista's First Lego League team!
Beckett Latcham, Colin Wilhelm, Liam Wilhelm, Landry Henderson, and Brooke Miller competed for the Rockin Robots in the tournament. They scored 315 points and placed 9th in the state championship tournament. This means they are the 9th best team in all of Arizona competing against teams as old as 8th graders! The team had great effort, commitment, and attitude all season and this was reflected in their state championship performance. We are all proud of you! Thank you to parent volunteers, Michael George and Kathryn Varden, for their help all season too!
A huge shout out to Mr MC and Ms. Baker for sponsoring this event.

Mileage Club is Ventana Vista's Thursday Running Club. On Thursdays, students join us on the lower field during lunch recess and run laps around the field. Each lap is 1/10 of a mile and as students complete laps they earn charms for their necklace!
Our Family Run is on Thursday, January 18th. Invite your family members - all family members are welcome, or friends who are like family members to cheer on our students! Bring noise makers and lawn chairs if you have them! Please note: There are no easy bathrooms on the field and all visitors must sign in through the front office.
In addition to our family cheerleaders, we will also need volunteers to run the session! Please sign up on our signup genius so we can count on your support. All volunteers must sign in at the front office before their session starts.
