WBMSHS Principal Update to Families
Weeks of 12/5/22 - 12/16/22
As you know we lost one of our beautiful students, Bella, who fought a courageous battle with cancer. Though it has been a sad week for the WB community, it has also once again reminded us of what an amazing school and community we have. Students and staff have come together along with the community to show their love for Bella. We will always remember Bella for her humor, talent and kind soul. She will be forever missed here in West Bridgewater.
Please keep Bella's family & friends in your hearts while they deal with the unimaginable loss.
Mrs. Page
Bella- You will always be in our hearts and forever a Wildcat!
Guidance News
Our Guidance office has been receiving wonderful news daily about our seniors getting accepted into colleges and universities! Such an exciting time for them and we are lucky to be in the position to enjoy it with them!
Our counselors have had the opportunity to meet with the Sophomores and get to know them on a one to one basis. Next up are the juniors. They are beginning to have their one to one meetings and are hoping to have met all of our juniors by the beginning of the new year. And speaking of the new year, our counselors are starting to look into course selections for the students in the spring.

We have been made aware of an increase in local families in need this Holiday Season. SRO Pope is coordinating a Wildcat Toy Drive with PTO and the West Bridgewater Public Schools to benefit West Bridgewater families in need. The ages of children in need have so far been identified ranging from 5 to 15 yrs old.
There will be a box outside the main office to put any donations . If you would like to donate gift cards, please give them directly to SRO Pope or to one of the secretaries in the Main Office. We will be collecting through 12/22/22.

Spanish Honor Society
Members of the Spanish Honor Society spread their holiday cheer this past weekend at the WB Town Transfer Station! Students canned for a good cause, raising money for senior scholarships and a family in Guatemala that the SHH supports. Thanks to the generosity of the town, the Spanish Honor Society was able to raise a considerable amount of money to support these causes. Thank you for all of your support and Feliz Navidad!

Mr. Ennis’ American Legal Class hosted Patrick Stanton, a Judge with the Plymouth County Probate and Family Court. Judge Stanton has served as a judge for over 10 years and splits his time between the Plymouth and Brockton Courthouses. Prior to being a judge he was a lawyer in private practice out of Brockton for almost 20 years. Judge Stanton shared his experiences and answered questions about his various roles in the judicial system with both Mr. Ennis’ American Legal class and Mrs. Pankowski’s Life 101 class.

A Message from Ann Marie Grinder, Food Service Director
Greetings from the MSHS Wildcat Café!
Just a reminder that both breakfast and lunch are free this school year! The WB Food Services link has more info and menus.
Each student is offered 1 free breakfast and 1 free lunch per day. Extra entrées are $2.00 and additional a la carte items such as bottled water, cookies, crackers and ice cream can also be purchased but a student must have money on their lunch account for these extras. All items served meet strict state and federal nutrition standards. Money can be added to a student’s account two ways:
· Cash or a check can be brought to the cashier at arrival or towards the end of a meal. To keep the line moving as quickly as possible, we no longer accept money in the line.
· Electronic payments using MySchoolBucks. You will need your student’s 10-digit student ID (SASID#) to set up an account. Even if you don’t add money using MySchoolBucks, it allows you to monitor cafeteria transactions until they graduate!
We are looking to hire additional cafeteria substitutes. Interested individuals can contact me at agrinder@wbridgewater.com or at (508)894-1220.
Thank you,
Ann Marie Grinder, Food Service Director
Update from Nurse Diedrichsen
A friendly reminder that all medications need to be kept in the nurse’s office. The only exception is for students in grades 9-12 who carry life saving medications such as inhalers and/or EpiPen's. All medications, even if carried with the student, need to have a medication order on file with the nurse. If you would like to authorize your student to take over the counter medications at the nurse's office you can access the STANDING ORDER MEDICATION & ANNUAL HEALTH UPDATE FORM on our Health Services page on the district website: https://www.wbridgewaterschools.org/page/health-services
Miscellaneous
We have a significant amount of lost and found items in the Main Office. Please have your child check in the office if they have lost anything this year. All items will be donated over the holiday break.
