Principal's Message - Mrs. Taylor-Jackson
Meet Mr. Reed - Assistant Principal (6th)
Greetings Clark-Shaw Magnet! I’m excited to join the Eagle team as one of your assistant principals. I’ve been in education as a teacher and administrator for thirteen years. Clark-Shaw Magnet is well known to be a school of award-winning academic excellence. I hope to continue building upon the success of this distinguished institution of learning. My philosophy of education is simple - provide an opportunity for all students to have a safe learning environment in order to challenge their "yet" moments and help them develop a growth mindset to be lifelong scholars. To me, education is truly a calling. I look forward to meeting you soon and please reach out if you ever need anything.
Covid-19 Precautions
Please continue to follow precautions to limit the spread of the coronavirus and Covid-19. While at school, students are expected to practice social distancing, frequent hand-washing, sanitation measures, and proper wearing of face masks or coverings.

Counselors' Corner
Clark-Shaw has a new 7th/8th grade counselor! Mr. Ronald Sayles, who has 20+ years of experience in education, joined us from Jackson Public Schools in Jackson, Mississippi. He and Mrs. Tamara Dailey-Woods (our returning 6th grade counselor) have been working hard to generate student schedules and fix any issues which have arisen. Although they have had numerous requests from students and parents to change electives, they have not always been able to do so due to class size and availability. Please know that the deadline has passed to request schedule changes and only administration/principal requested schedules changes will be made if necessary. Our counselors ask for continued patience as we all work on learning the new student information system called PowerSchool.
STEM Celebration Assembly - 8th graders
A special STEM Celebration Assembly is planned for this Friday, September 3rd for our 8th grade students in recognition of our school's attainment of Cognia's prestigious STEM Accreditation in 2020. A professional science entertainer, Michael Green (a.k.a. the Science Machine) from Science for Everyone will be here to perform. Science for Everyone (SFE) is an Atlanta-based science and technology company committed to inspiring and educating the next generation of leaders, scientists, mathematicians, innovators and engineers. This mission is accomplished by presenting the most educational, mind-boggling, jaw-dropping interactive science show on planet Earth! We hope our 8th graders enjoy the show and get excited about STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) content and possibilities!
