CELEBRATIONS
Great things are happening at WCS!
Students and staff have been collecting non-perishable food in our dory named Bill. On Thursday, the 8th grade class bagged everything up and walked all 85 bags of food to the Woolwich Town Office. The students had a police escort to cross Route One to get to the Town Office, and enjoyed being out in the sunshine (and brisk temperature!) We are so grateful for the generosity of our community, and your willingness to support others in need!
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
Remember: There is no school tomorrow as we begin the winter vacation. Have a fun an safe break and we'll see everyone back in school on Tuesday, 1/2/24.
Volunteer Opportunities
The new year will bring new volunteer opportunities! Make sure that you have completed your application so you have the option to volunteer. This form is needed if you want to stop by the classroom to help with an activity, or attend a field trip with students. CLICK HERE to complete yours today!
PTA WINTER TREE LIGHTING
Thank you to everyone who braved the cold and joined us for the Tree Lighting last night! People were treated to cookies and hot cocoa and a visit from Scratch and Buddy the Elf! Many thanks to our Amazing PTA for bringing us such fun and creative ways to connect with each other as a community!
7th & 8th GRADE SCIENCE
Seventh grade science students have been studying the life cycle of strawberries, and the eighth graders have been performing experiments that cause chemical reactions.
WEEKLY WELLNESS WITH MR. HUTCHINGS
WHAT'S FOR LUNCH...NEXT YEAR?
January 2024 Breakfast & Lunch menus are out. This information is always available on our website under MONTHLY MENUS.
THINGS TO TALK ABOUT
- Take a look around your house and see if you have any WCS library books to return. If so, try to put them in your student's backpack so they don't get misplaced during the shuffle of vacation!
- A change of clothing is helpful for all students (not just little kids!) Keeping a spare outfit in the locker will prevent the need to call home if someone gets wet at recess or spills something!
In accordance with School Board policy, the following promotional announcements have been included at the request of the sponsoring organization because they may be of interest to students and their families. These activities are not sponsored byt the school, and inclusion of these announcements does not constitute endorsement of the organizations or activities by the school.
Midcoast Youth Theater
Midcoast Youth Theater will present the family-friendly musical Newsies January 4-7 at Brunswick High School's Crooker Theater. This show features nearly 100 singers, dancers, and other performers in a popular show that will be a great event for the whole family to enjoy.

For any families who wish to request free tickets to Newsies: MYT and its Ticket Sponsor, Bath Savings, are making free tickets available to each performance for families who otherwise might not be able to attend.
