The Lion Line
Volume 4 Issue 7 - February 2023
A Letter from the Headmaster
Dear Parents,
Well, the cooler weather has been absolutely wonderful! I hope you too are enjoying this little change of season we are experiencing. With this cool weather comes the second semester of the school year which always seems to start to fly by so quickly. There is so much to look forward to this semester. As far as Lower School goes, our scholars appear to be happy at school! They too have some fun activities this semester, so be sure to stay updated on events, mainly through the Lion Line.
For Upper School, there is the planned 6th-grade Transitio hike on Cumberland Island, on February 24th. The calendar is full of fun and meaningful events, such as middle school and high school dances, our annual Father/Daughter dance, Grad Night, Prom, and so much more. As we get closer to graduation, I will update you on our planned events for our senior scholars. There is still much work to be done by our scholars to finish strong, especially for our seniors and the completion of their Senior Thesis for graduation. Please talk to your kids daily about school and encourage them in their work.
Finally, I want to thank Lions Council for putting on a beautiful Winter Dinner, on January 27th. Dr. Larry Arnn, President of Hillsdale College was our speaker, and the event sold out. Dr. Arnn was so impressed with our scholars, teachers, and parents. Thank you for being involved with our school. If you are not a member of the Lions Council, please visit Lionscouncil.org and join us as we strive to meet our goal of building intelligent, virtuous American citizens.
Lion Strong!
Mr. Johnson

SJCA's goal is to have EVERY SCHOLAR apply, each scholar that applies counts towards additional funding for this campus!
SJCA's new program incorporates wellness policies to promote healthy eating habits and physical activity at school.
The National School Lunch Program is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and non-profit private schools and residential childcare institutions. It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost, or free lunches to scholars each school day.
