Yesterday, our 8th graders went on tours of three area post-secondary institutions- Carroll University, UW-Milwaukee at Waukesha, and WCTC. It was a great experience for our 8th graders, and I enjoyed learning more about what these great area schools have to offer. If you have an 8th grader, make sure that you ask them about their day.

Again this year, the National Junior Honor Society is hosting Grandparents Day. The cost of the event is $5 per guest and student host. Mr. Werni sent out an email on Thursday with more details and a sign up. RSVPs are accepted through Friday, May 3rd or when a total of 300 spots have been filled.

If you were unable to attend the family forum regarding vaping, here is a link to the presentation. There are still two options to see this forum in person- May 9th at North Shore Middle School and May 29th at Lake Country. If you'd like to discuss this further, don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Merton School is excited to welcome an all-new Camp Invention® program, Supercharged, (July 29 – Aug. 2) where children transform their wild imaginations into epic creations. As part of Summer School the cost of the program is $40 for the week. Campers in grades K-6 will code robots and use collaboration and creative problem solving during hands-on, STEM activities. We are also looking for Counselors in Training (7th & 8th graders) to participate in our program. Register by calling Camp Invention directly at (800) 968-4332. This is a great week each summer!
