Holland Happenings
Week Ending October 6, 2023
Week of Respect
Students and Staff at Holland School are celebrating the Week of Respect. From theme days to daily affirmations and announcements, kindness and respect are the focus not just this week, but throughout the year. Thank you to our School Counselors, Mrs. Deniz, Ms. Leap and our Counselor Intern, Ms. Rozycki, for all their hard work planning for the week.
What's Happening This Week?
...a lot!
1. The PTO Scholastic Book Fair is in full swing. So many terrific choices for all our students. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers for bringing the book fair to Holland School.
2. Picture Day is happening as I type this. It is one of my favorite days of the year. Seeing the students in their favorite outfits, grinning with pride (some without teeth) is one of the best parts of being in a school environment.
3. It stopped raining! Our kids are finally outside for recess and classroom learning opportunities.
4. Caught Being Kind is a student recognition program where staff members "catch" students being kind and respectful. It kicked off this week and will continue throughout the month.
You Were Caught!
Say Cheese!
Fire Prevention Week
Fire Prevention Week Begins Sunday, October 8th and ends on Saturday, October 14th. Next week, Holland School will have age-appropriate activities to highlight the importance of this week. From fire trucks on site to instructional videos, all students will be reminded what to do if a fire happens.
