Deacon Joe Moore/ 6th-8th Grade Religion
We are pleased to welcome Deacon Joe Moore. He is happy to have the privilege of teaching and learning from all of the students, as well as learning from the personnel of Saint Rita. He will be teaching Religion to the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. He is excited at the opportunity.
Deacon Joe has a wife, Sandy, who is a real estate agent, and a very good wife and mother. His daughter Sydney, attends Western Kentucky University and is studying to teach also. He has 3 small dogs, Harley, Lucy, and Mia. He enjoys hiking, watching sports and occasionally the Hallmark channel, reading, learning, and prayer.
Deacon Joe has been ordained since August of 2010. He has been assigned at several parishes and now you can see him on most weekend masses at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. Please attend a mass sometime and introduce yourself to him.
Deacon Joe says that he will pray for the St. Rita community and asks that everyone take some time to pray for him, his family, his students, and all students, teachers, personnel of Saint Rita, Father Joe, and the community of Saint Rita.
Health Fair
St. Rita would like to thank the following parents for volunteering to help with our annual K – 5 health fair. Thanks to their efficiency, the Health Fair ran smoothly and we were able finish with all students earlier than expected. We truly appreciate your time and talent. Thank you to April Pollock, Amy Hughes, Elizabeth Bridwell, Tina Channakhone, Michael Sharpe, Ivannia Santana, Lauren Pazmino, Jenny Ruth, Mr. Huelsman, and Robert Zebich for volunteering.

Snow Much to Read Book Fair
Our fall book fair will take place October 8th – 10th in the school library.
- October 7th – Students will visit with their teacher to preview and create their wish lists.
- October 8th – Teacher scheduled visits during the school day. (Students may bring money to school.)
- October 9th –
- GRAND Event - Families are invited to have lunch with their student and shop at the book fair.
- During conferences from 3:30 - 7:00
- October 10th - Teacher scheduled visits during the school day & during conferences from 3:30 - 6:00

Box Top$ for Education
How does the new program work?
Our purpose remains the same: to help schools get what they need. The main difference is that instead of clipping, checking expiration dates, bundling and submitting, Box Tops will be earned through the new mobile app by scanning receipts within 14 days of purchase.
School supporters will earn 10 cents for each Box Tops products purchased plus extra earnings for any Bonus Box Tops offers. Simply buy any Box Tops product at any retailer and scan your receipt in the app to earn. Diácono Joe Moore/ Profesor de Religión de 6to-8vo grado
El diácono Joe tiene una esposa, Sandy, que es agente de bienes raíces, una muy buena esposa y madre. Su hija Sydney, asiste a la Universidad Western Kentucky y también estudia para enseñar. Feria de Libro Mucha nieve para leer
Nuestra feria de libro tendra lugar el 8-10 de Octubre en la biblioteca de la escuela.
- 7 de Octubre – Los estudiantes visitaran con sus profesores para crear su lista de deseos.
- 8 de Octubre – Los Profesores tienen visitas programadas durante el dia escolar. (Los estudiantes pueden traer dinero a la escuela.)
- 9 de Octubre –
- GRAN Evento - Las familias estan invitadas a almorzar con sus estudiantes y comprar en la feria de libro.
