It was wonderful to see so many creative and innovative designs on our storybook pumpkin project. Our students really brought the stories to life with their paint, paper and paste. Follow this link to view all of the participants.

We invite parents and family members to our book fair the week of Nov 14-18. We will have a wide selection of titles and books.

We have an online store this year. All online sales benefit the teachers and the school. Click here for our online flyer and access.

Check out the eWallet feature. You can purchase a gift card for your student, and it is registered in the system for easy access.

Our Spotlight Classroom is The BES Computer Lab and the fabulous Ms. Da'Zhane Berry. Her classroom is filled with activities that bring Chromebooks to life. She is teaching her students essential skills to become truly technology literate digital citizens.

De sure to ask your students about their speed of typing. Each student has been tracking his or her words per minute speed.

• Students should have received report cards last week to bring home, but remember you can always check grades and attendance in your Parent Portal account! We will be reaching out to parents/guardians of students who did not pass a course, but if you have any questions, please call the front office.

• You should have received a letter from us with directions on how to download the PBIS Family App and a barcode to scan to connect with your student’s PBIS account. If you did not receive this letter, please call the front office! Check out the Bobcat Pride Page for information.

• Did you know that Bloomington ISD offers on-demand access to high-quality healthcare right on campus? This is available to every student…no matter what! Click here for more information. Or email our district nurse, Stacey Greer at stacey.greer@bisd-tx.org with any questions.

• Wow - we had 36 high school students with perfect attendance and 23 middle school students with perfect attendance!

• We have added a “C” Day to our schedule. Teachers chose this option after the first nine weeks to ensure that our students have a day at the end of the week to wrap up and meet with all classes. The A/B/C Day Calendar is linked below

• Story Place Opens offers preschoolers a virtual library experience. Kids can participate in story time, watch videos, and play games. The bilingual site also provides early literacy information and a guide to children’s books for parents and caregivers.

• Seussville lets children enjoy reading-based interactive games and activities featuring his classic books and characters. The site includes a character guide, book catalogue, Seuss biography, tips for parents and resources for teachers.

• Scholastic Kids (ages 8-12) lets kids 8-12 play games, test skills and knowledge about books, work on writing activities, and express opinions. They can connect with other readers on books and authors on this well-moderated site.

• Scholastic: Writing with Writers allows students of all ages to collaborate with authors, editors, and illustrators in exclusive workshops designed to guide them in many forms of writing to develop their skills.
