We are excited to announce the 11th year of the Dental Outreach program. It will be provided for your child at Longwood Elementary beginning September 6th.
Licensed Dental Hygienists will screen students for tooth decay or dental problems. To be eligible for these services, a completed signed permission must be returned to the child’s teacher. The students will receive the permission slips on September 6th.
Examples of services your child may receive include:
- Dental Sealants (tooth-colored protective coatings on their back teeth)
- Oral Hygiene Instructions (teaching children how to clean their teeth)
- Fluoride Varnish
- Dental Cleaning
The dental services at the school will be at no cost to you. After your child is seen, a note will be sent home telling you what was done and what other dental care may be needed.
