ND SHAPE Update

Congratulations to the following three individuals for their recent election onto the ND SHAPE Board of Directors!

We are still looking for someone to take on the role of VP General, if you are interested in being involved. Requires a previous 2 years service on the ND SHAPE Board. Please contact us if you are interested!

ND SHAPE is exploring the new Health.Moves.Minds. service learning SEL curriculum. We will be meeting virtually through Zoom Wednesday Nights, 8-10 pm, to discuss lesson implementation, additional SEL resources and how to potentially run a Health.Moves.Minds. event. Meeting dates and topics will include:

Oct 28th 8-10 pm: Registration, navigating the website and understanding the many available resources.

Nov 4th 8-10 pm: Elementary resources and event implementation,

November 11th 8-10 pm: Middle school resources and event implementation

November 18th 8-10 pm: High School resources and event implementation

Hosting an event is not a requirement for this credit, but we think after looking at this program, you will be excited to take the next step!. This is a great opportunity to earn credit for collaborating with professionals around the state and to learn about this awesome FREE SEL curriculum and service-learning project for your school.

We are currently accepting proposals for our 2021 Health and PE conference on February 12, 2021, at Simle Middle School in Bismarck, ND. We would love to showcase the activities you do in your classroom with the rest of the state! If you do not have a classroom, but have information that should be shared with classroom Health and Physical Education teachers, we want to hear from you as well!
