Walker Release Form

We would like to thank everyone who has completed the new Walker Release Form for 2023/24. If you have not yet completed the form, and would like your student to walk home from school without supervision, please complete the form here.

It has been a busy first week at Upper Campus. We are pleased to include some images of 6th grade art students creating a collaborative CREST mini mural to kick off the school year, and students enjoying the improvements that took place this summer at the UC recess field. Thanks again to all the volunteers who came together to make this happen, and to everyone who donated to the PTCC Auction Fund-a-Project.

Help furnish home for Spanish LSA's

The GLOBE Academy is welcoming two Spanish LSA's (Language Support Assistants) from Spain. We will be providing housing and require items to furnish their home, ahead of their arrival. The items will need to be in place/delivered the week of August 28. Please send an email to Jen Parker who will reach out to coordinate the receipt of your item(s).

Drop-off and pick-up protocols at both campuses

The playground at Lower Campus is used by Aftercare until 5pm each school day. For safety and security reasons, we do ask that parents/guardians wait until 5pm to join their children at the playground.

Back 2 School Blowout event rescheduled

The Back 2 School Blowout event has been rescheduled for Friday, September 8. Registration will begin at 5:30pm and games will be played from 6–8pm. Save the date and bring the family out to enjoy the festivities with the entire GLOBE community. The Athletics Dept. will be reaching out by email to everyone who registered for the original event, to communicate schedule changes, and to confirm attendance on September 8.

Fall sports tryouts

Fall sports tryouts are ongoing this week. A list of students that made the teams will be posted on Monday, and parents will receive an invite to TeamSnap after Monday. We use TeamSnap to communicate practice schedules, game schedules and real time information to parents should a practice/game need to be canceled. Please note, athletes that are selected to be in a sports program may move up or down in their respective teams.

Please complete the tryout registration form for each sport that your student is trying out for. Please note, students MUST have a completed physical form on file to tryout.

The Annual Fund 2023-2024 Challenge

Every year, each classroom competes to see who will reach 100% participation first in the Annual Fund Challenge. The suggested donation is $400 per student, however, gifts of any amount count and help us reach our goal of $150,000. The class at each campus with the highest participation rate by September 1, 2023 wins a popsicle party and a surprise for each student. Donate here.

GLOBE Trot

Planning for GLOBE’s biggest fundraiser of the year, GLOBE Trot 2023, has begun. GLOBE Trot is a school-wide fun run and exercise-focused event where all GLOBE students will run, skip, race, and have fun while promoting healthy bodies and healthy minds. Volunteers are needed to market the fundraiser, solicit donations, and plan the events of the day. If you are interested in assisting, please reach out to Adrienne McMillon.
