Mr. Posick's Friday email

Our students and staff have been working hard in preparation for the upcoming Forward Test. Testing begins on Monday, March 20th. 5th and 6th grades will test on Monday, March 20th, Tuesday, March 21st, and, if needed, Wednesday, March 22nd. 7th and 8th grades will test on Thursday, March 23rd and Friday, March 24th. If you have any questions about the testing schedule, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Along with the testing dates, I wanted to share a movenote I created for the students and staff regarding testing, and more importantly, giving your best in all that you do. We have developed a schedule that will allow students to focus for shorter periods of time during testing, creating a better opportunity to do their best and give their best effort. Please encourage your child to do their best during the Forward Exam and during all that they do, whether it's school related or not.

On Tuesday, March 21st at 6:00PM in the Merton Intermediate School Little Theater, Arrowhead superintendent Laura Myrah will be hosting a presentation and question/answer session for our community regarding their upcoming spring referendum.

The PTO and School District would like to invite you to an Arrowhead School Board Candidate Forum on Tuesday, March 21st at 6:30PM in the Merton Intermediate School Little Theater. This April, the Merton seat on the Arrowhead School Board is up for re-election. We have two candidates who will be on the ballot; Amy Hemmer and Joe LeBlanc. Please join the candidates and our community on March 21st for this candidate forum.

The PTO and School District would like to invite you to a School Board Candidate Forum on Tuesday, March 21st at 7:30PM in the Merton Intermediate School Little Theater. This April, there are two seats up for re-election. We have three candidates who will be on the ballot; Phil Spindler, Kris Pfieffer, and Kaysie Kurszewski. Please join the candidates and our community on March 21st for this candidate forum.

5th grade conferences will be on Tuesday, March 21st and Wednesday, March 22nd from 4:30-8:00 in the 5th grade classrooms. The first hour each night, from 4:30-5:30, are invitation only conferences. All are welcome to attend conferences from 5:30-8:00.

Our final family conferences will be held on Thursday, March 23rd. These will occur in the Intermediate School gym from 4:30-8:15. Please bring your child along to be a part of the conversation.

As we approach the end of March, we begin to think about Spring Break. There is a full day of school on Friday, April 7th. Our Spring Break begins on Saturday, April 8th and goes through Monday, April 17th. School resumes on Tuesday, April 18th. If your family will be on vacation before April 8th or continues after April 17th, please make sure to contact Mrs. Emmerich in the office via email or phone. Thank you!
