• Meal Pick Up for Virtual Students Time Change: Wed. at 11:30 to 1:00

• Meal bags will only be sent home on Tues. starting week of March 15
• Please help remind students to read for 30 minutes every day!
• Remote Packet Pick Up: Wednesday, April 7 - 11:30 to 1:00 PM at Central Elem., you can always pick up at North after Wed.
• Students go outside several times a day for mask breaks and recess, please be sure to send gear for the weather. Thank you for your help.
• Drop-off/Pick Up: Please use Bracket Street to enter and leave for pick-up. This will help eliminate traffic confusion. Thank you!
• Don't forget to use our website for tech/academic support - please pass this support on to anyone helping students while they are at home.

Parchment Schools is enrolling Young 5's for the 2021-22 School Year. Click here for inquiry form

Arrival and Dismissal:

• Parent drop-off: 8:40-9:00 AM ONLY - you may not drop your child off early.

• Staggered Parent Pick-Up: 3:40 - 4:00

• Parent Pick-up can be anytime between 3:40 and 4:00. We prefer to have parents arrive at different times to keep the car line shorter.

• Please place car signs on right-hand visor

• Families returning from remote to in-person will receive their sign on the 15th

• Please use Bracket Street Entrance for Pick-up

• Upon arrival, students will go directly to their classrooms via their homeroom exterior door.

• All adults need to remain in their car. Students will be called from classrooms when they arrive in the pick-up lane.

• Bus: Drop off at North - 9:00 and pick-up at North 4:00

Bus Info: Please call transportation at 488-1290 for questions on new routes.

Chromebooks:

• Students will continue to use chromebooks while in school and at home. They will transport to and from school each day.

• Students should not bring their personal devices to school. They may use a school issued chromebook while in-school.

• If you need a school chromebook, please contact the office - 488-1400.

Medication: Please contact the office to arrange a time to drop off medication before your child is in attendance.

Safety:

• All students are required to wear a clean mask when at school. We will have masks available for students who forget, but we ask families to please send students with a clean mask daily. There will be mask breaks throughout the day.

• Students need to bring their own water bottle labeled with their name. Our touchless fill stations will be available to refill during the day.

• For everyone’s safety, no visitors will be allowed in the building.

Other:

• Before/after school care is available, please contact PELC for further information please call 488-1301.

• School breakfast and lunch are available. Students will eat breakfast in their rooms and we will eat lunch in the lunchroom.

• Students will need to bring their own snacks, no snacks will be given out by the teachers.

• Students will not be sharing school items.

• The Shop purchases will be with your students' packet. Please pick up and help us keep them motivated!
• Remember to check email regularly for information from remote teachers - thank you!

• Please remind students to check email regularly on their at home learning days.
• For hybrid at home learning days, students should continue working on their play books.
• Hybrid students should bring chromebook to school each day.
• Parchment Remote students have a set schedule provided by teachers. Students need to be logging on their designated time throughout the day.
• Use North website to fill out tech/academic support form if you have questions. We have staff available throughout the day to help answer your questions.

This is great way to get information!

We created a website for students and families to find the information they need in one place. We are continually adding resources and information to help communicate. The website is the place students can access their weekly playbook and integrated arts lessons. Staff are teaching students how to navigate the website, but it will also be helpful for families. I would encourage you to bookmark the site and visit regularly. The website also has the following information:

• Staff contact information (school phone, google voice and email)
• Tech/academic support form for questions - We have staff available throughout the day to help answer questions.
• Resources for families
• Specific school information and announcements

1. Create a schedule/checklist together. A schedule is helpful because your child will know what to expect. Using timers can be very motivating to children and help them make work seem more attainable.
2. Remind your child to read and reread directions and highlight/underline keywords. Part of this new learning is encouraging students to become more independent learners.
3. Have your student check North's website and email daily for any recent information and/or support documents.
4. Encourage physical movement in between work sessions.
5. If you or your student have questions, whether it's tech or academic related, visit the North website and complete the at home learning support form. We have staff available throughout the day to support our students and families.
