SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: BEN CLEMENTS
In the hallways of Grafton High School, Ben Clements may move quietly, preferring to avoid the spotlight. Yet his voice has become one of the most recognizable and cherished throughout the GHS community.
For the past four years, Ben has embodied the school's guiding principle: "Find what you love to learn and find what you are good at. Make the match. Let's build the pathway." Through his dedication to sports media and communications, Ben has not only found his passion but has used it to elevate the entire GHS athletic program.
As the play-by-play commentator for numerous sports teams, Ben's enthusiastic voice has brought GHS athletics to life for countless listeners. When not competing with his own soccer team, Ben can be found atop the stands or on the sidelines, microphone in hand, weaving the narrative of each game with expertise and genuine excitement.
Beyond broadcasting, Ben has taken ownership of the Athletic Department's website, crafting feature articles that celebrate both teams and individual athletes. His commitment extends far beyond what is expected of a typical student, often working late into the evening to ensure the community receives positive, celebratory coverage of student accomplishments.
What sets Ben apart is his selfless motivation. Through real-time reporting and thoughtful written reflections, he has become both the voice of GHS Athletics and the athletes' greatest champion.
Ben's acceptances to several prestigious colleges and universities for communications and media studies come as no surprise to those who know his work. Whichever institution he chooses will gain not only a talented communicator but also someone who lifts up everyone around him.
As Ben prepares for graduation, GHS takes this moment to turn the spotlight on him—the student who has spent years ensuring it shined on others.
For your unwavering spirit, dedication, and the positive energy you've brought to our school community, we salute you, Ben Clements.

ATTENDANCE MONITORING REMINDER
Dear Students and Caregivers:
We are writing to remind you that you are able to monitor daily and attendance period by period through your PowerSchool portal. Given the expectation that students cannot exceed five absences for semester courses and 10 absences for full year courses without the potential loss of course credits, please take this responsibility seriously.
Students who notice class attendance discrepancies on a given day should contact the specific teacher prior to the end of that school day to address the potential error. Attendance disputes regarding absences may not be addressed on days/weeks that follow the recorded absence.
If you need technical assistance regarding attendance monitoring in PowerSchool, please email Tech Support at techsupport@grafton.k12.ma.us.
If you have questions regarding attendance expectations, please contact your grade level administrator.
