SC Ready testing will begin on May 10, 2018. To make sure everyone is equipped with information to help best familiarize students and teachers alike with this Smore will highlight test taking hints and strategies for a successful, stress-free test taking season.

All students will be given a hard copy of all reading passages to use in conjunction with the online testing platform for both days of ELA testing. Please encourage students to mark up passages to assist in responses on the TDA and reading questions.

• Reinforce the importance of writing a rough draft and then transfer the final product into the online platform.
• Reinforce the importance of "marking up" a text for answering reading questions and responding to a TDA prompt. Students will receive a printed form of all reading passages on the SC Ready ELA test.
  
• It is very helpful for students to utilize grid/graph paper as scratch paper for showing work on classroom assessments. Grid/graph paper can be provided as scratch paper during test session.

The student profile report is extremely helpful in identifying students projected performance on the SC Ready assessments. It predicted student performance correctly in Anderson One 70 percent of the time in 2017!
