Board Approves Boundary Maps
Beginning with 2024-2025 School Year
District 303 Families and Staff,
During meetings on Monday and Tuesday, the District 303 Board of Education voted to approve boundary maps for our elementary, middle and high schools. These maps go into effect with the 2024-2025 school year beginning this fall.
The Board's decision completes a process that began last fall to reduce school overcrowding and help to ensure equitable learning experiences across the District. District 303 had contracted with demographer RSP & Associates to create concept maps based on Board-approved guiding principles and community feedback.
The approved concepts for each level are as follows:
Elementary Schools: Revised Concept 2
Middle Schools: Concept 2
High Schools: Concept 2
The Board’s number one selection criteria was to balance enrollment and ensure proper building utilization. I’m thankful for their thoughtful consideration over these past several months and work to minimize the number of families who would be impacted. We are also appreciative of the work of demographer RSP & Associates in developing the concept maps and enrollment projections to help our Board make a final decision for our elementary, middle and high school boundaries.
The District will continue to engage with families and staff as we prepare to implement the boundaries in the fall. In the coming days, interactive maps of the boundaries will be published to the District website. School principals will begin communicating with their 2024-2025 boundary families later this spring.
Sincerely,
Dr. Paul Gordon
Superintendent
