We will hold our January Business Meeting on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at Hempstead Lodge #749 located at 701 Main Street, Hempstead, TX. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

The year 2019 was a strong one for our organization. We improved communications, strengthened our esoteric knowledge, and increased our knowledge of our Masonic duties. Another year has come to District 108, and it is the hope of the leadership of the Masters, Wardens, and Secretaries Association that we can continue to move our District forward in cooperation, communication, esoteric knowledge, knowledge of our Masonic duties, and fellowship between lodges.

On that note, I would like for a group of us from District 108 to get together for some fellowship during Grand Lodge in Waco outside of the proceedings of the Grand Annual Communication. We can get together for a meal, a movie, or a trip to the Dr. Pepper Museum or Texas Ranger Museum.

If you have any ideas for fellowship for that weekend or if you need to get in touch with me, please don't hesitate to contact me. My phone number is 713-562-4864. I'm a teacher, so if you call during the school day, please give me a few hours to get back to you. You can also email me at pr@mwsa108.com.

Lastly, I'd like to invite each of you to join us for our January Business Meeting to be held at Hempstead Lodge #749 on Tuesday 28 January 2020. The meal will be served at 6:30 PM with the meeting beginning at 7:00 PM. We are working on a good educational segment and we are looking forward to getting the year started off on solid footing.

Each Lodge is encouraged to hold a meeting to discuss these resolutions and decide how your Lodge will vote in January. Remember Brothers, the business of Grand Lodge is in our hands. These resolutions will affect the future of our Fraternity.

Brothers, the MWSA Leadership has been working hard on a strategic plan to continue moving our district forward. That plan is pictured below. Clicking on any of the pictures will take you to the entire document.

Morton Lodge is holding a raffle for a beautiful handmade Masonic quilt. Tickets are $1.00 each. Please contact Brother John Bradley if you are interested.

Mark Herzog of Gray Lodge was the winner of the quilt and has graciously donated it back to Morton Lodge to be raffled again for their scholarship program. A new flyer will come out soon with new information for the drawing date.

Imperial Chapter, Order of DeMolay was set to work on Saturday 31 August 2019. DeMolay is a wonderful organization for young men from 12-21 years of age. It strives to teach virtues and help young men grow into responsible and committed members of society.

With everyone's calendar up-to-date, Brothers from other Lodges will be able to plan to attend more events and meetings around our District. This will take some work on the part of whoever controls the individual Lodge's Google Calendar, but it will be well worth the time investment.
