Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
October 27, 2023
Andrea Conner, BHS Principal
Hello Bulldog Families.
And just like that, we’ve wrapped up our first quarter of the 2023-2024 school year! We’ve accomplished a lot in this short amount of time, all while opening our new building!
I continue to remind people about our “condensed” school calendar and how we have a lot of work to do in a very short amount of time. This is evidenced when I watch our dedicated staff members working with your students every day.
They’ve been busy helping students make up those last-minute assignments, designing ways to help support our students who will have to retake their End of Course Assessments, and determining any necessary instructional adjustments needed for their students who will be taking End of Course Assessments for the first time this year. I am pleased with how much our staff members care about our students’ successes.
Next week will begin our first week of the second quarter. As you continue to support your student, please remember that this quarter contains two major interruptions, Thanksgiving and our holiday break, with the end of the quarter falling on January 12, 2024. This is sometimes the time of year when students are distracted and less engaged, so thank you for helping us keep them focused on the importance of their school work.
Please take special note of the survey that we will be administering this upcoming week. Information about it is included in the “please take note of the following” section.
Thank you for your support throughout our first quarter, and have a great weekend.
In service to our Bulldogs.
