Yearbook Publication & Art Students @ Columbia University
On November 6th, the NFHS art students from Mrs. Randlett's Yearbook / Publications class along with Mrs. Main's classes (Studio Art 2, Commercial Art & Design), all attended the Columbia Scholastic Press Association's 83rd Annual Fall Conference held at the Columbia University campus in NYC. Students and staff attended a variety of workshops that focused on publication design, editorial, law, photography and other topics. Some of the workshops we attended were: Cleaning Up your Typography, Feature Magazine Design and 24 for 24 Yearbooks [ Ideas & Tips for Finding New Stories and Angles For Your Yearbook Journalism]. We had a beautiful day of weather and everyone enjoyed and learned quite a bit about the publishing process.
