EHHS Students Visit New York City to see Broadway Show
On Wednesday December 20th, 46 EHHS students traveled to NYC to see & Juliet on Broadway. In this modern continuation of Shakespeare's classic tragedy they ask the question: What would happen if Juliet did not commit suicide? The show was fun, funny, and a great learning experience for our Freshmen students who are also re-writing, directing, and designing costumes in preparation to perform in a Live Action Role Play of the famous Masquerade Ball from Romeo and Juliet. The group also visited the Rockefeller Center tree, Bryant Park's Holiday Winter Village, Ellen's Stardust Diner, and Times Square. Thank you to all of the staff and families who supported this trip and let us have such a great time!
This week on The Comet we are asking you to take a few minutes to review our newest work on our new website. Willow Torres has a review of Leith Ross on Buzz Beats. Yellowjacket Astrology is back with December's outlook with a brand new logo by our artist Anely Rojas Perez. Ana Romero talked about what it means to celebrate Thanksgiving in East Haven. Stella Frat debuted her first article on freshman volleyball player, Libby Madonna. Finally, Kim Carrera wrote about Hobbies After High School.
Did you know you can write COMMENTS on our new site? We also have polls, breaking news scrolling on the top, and a new section called "Around the Hive." Send us your pictures if you'd like to be featured. Have you met the staff? You can check out last year's staff too. Take a few minutes and browse through some of our new or old work at ehhscomet.org. We have 391 columns and articles from the past year and a half available to read.
Visit: https://ehhscomet.org/
Did you notice a column that is no longer being updated? Please consider joining The Comet Beat to join our staff. Our next meeting is Monday January 8 at 3:00pm in E121.
