Thank a Teacher!
It's that time of year again for the Annual P-H-M Education Foundation's Thank-a-Teacher. This is a wonderful way to say a special thank you to your child's teacher, or any P-H-M staff member that has made a difference in their lives. Your donation will go into our Grant Fund, which is returned to the schools in the form of Teacher Grants that include programs and projects that cannot be funded through school budgets. The nominee will receive a note with your special message, a pin for their lanyard, and the first 125 will receive a free Gold Car Wash courtesy of Drive & Shine. See phmef.org for more details or to download a form.
Penn Volleyball Rec League
Register today for the Independent Feeder Program! Penn Volleyball for grades 3rd-8th will host rec league volleyball teams through NIVA, the local volleyball club.
Tryouts are Sunday, Nov. 19. Games will be held on Sundays at local schools and each team will practice once a week. Click here for more information. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Kaitlyn Hickey at khickey@phm.k12.in.us.
Grissom is Great!
We had a fun Fall Spirit Week this week and students did an amazing job with the responsibility of dressing up! We saw a lot of great costumes and teacher outfits!
We even had some extra Administrators in our halls on Thursday.
Our Grissom EATC (Education and Training Co-Op) class has been working on taking care of plants in the Grissom Green House and even growing pumpkins from seeds!
We had our second Grissom Got Game of the school year where students and staff join together at lunch to play games, build connections, and eat lunch together!
Snippets of Greatness in our Classrooms!
Students in Mr. Nowak's 6th grade math class practiced plotting numbers on a number line to represent decimals.
Students in Mrs. Adam's 7th grade Language Arts class presented their Narrative Writing in pairs to their classmates.
Students in Mr. Stoll's 6th grade Math Class worked in stations to practice four different math skills with teachers!
