Looking Back –

Hey, 4th Grade Science Superstars! We had a tremendous start to the new year with our discussion of the Scientific Method and what that means for our problem-solving in the sciences. This week, you jumped into the ways that all living things are organized, and you learned some of the characteristics that make sponges unique.

Assignments for the week of Aug. 20-24: Unit 1, Lesson 1: Classifying Animals, & Lesson 2: The World of Sponges

Looking Ahead -

You will expand on the first two lessons next week as we talk about cnidarians and the world of worms. I think that you will find the world of invertebrates exciting and interesting. I encourage you to do some research on your own to bring information to class about one of these cool creatures. It might be a jellyfish, anemone, coral or worm. Become an expert on this world of wonder!

Special Note - Besides the reading and lesson activities for next week, please make sure that you are able to sign into Office 365 when you come to next week’s CC. This will be very helpful as we complete our short surveys at the end of class and also as we tackle bigger projects during the first quarter of the year.

Hello 4th Graders! I so enjoyed working with all of you in class last Tuesday. This week you will be completing unit 1, lessons 3 and 4. We will be working on lesson 3 in class together. Come ready to talk about the natural regions of the United States, and compare those to the natural regions of Texas. Please come to class with your textbook and a working headset with microphone.
