ACT BootCamp on Monday, February 21 for Registered Students ONLY
102 students have registered to take part in our FREE ACT BootCamp through the ACT Review.
The class begins promptly at 8AM and will take place in room 140 North. Pizza and pop will be provided for lunch. Class will conclude at 4PM.
If you have requested transportation, please see student email with pick up location and times.

Seal of Biliteracy Testing for Seniors - March 1st, 2022
Seniors who plan on attending college: Please check Naviance weekly for an updated list of local scholarships. Scholarships are being added as they come into the counseling office. If you require any paperwork to be completed by a counselor, teacher or administrator please give them the documents at least one to two weeks before the scholarship is due. Below are directions on how to access scholarships in Naviance.
How to sign into Naviance: On your school computer, click the CWHS links on the top right hand of your toolbar. Click on Clever Portal Log in. Hit Log in with Google and use your school email to log into Clever. Once logged in, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on the Naviance button.
How to access Scholarship List: When on the Naviance homepage, click on the Colleges in the top of the screen. A pop-up will appear, and you will go to the left-hand column that says Scholarships and Money. From here, click Scholarship Search. A page with all current local scholarships will appear. Pay close attention to the deadlines and any specific requirements needed for the application.

CCP Updates The CWHS CCP Informational Video was emailed to students and families on Wednesday January 26th. If you are interested in participating in CCP, please read the email thoroughly and watch the video. Viewing the video is a requirement to participate in CCP for the 2022-2023 school year. There will be a live Question and Answer session on February 24th from 5:30-6:30 in the CWHS LLC during parent teacher conference night. You can find our FAQs, additional information and forms on the CWHS CCP Website. Please email ccp@cwls.us with any questions.
Career Center Application opened December 2, 2021 @ 6:00 PM and will be open until March. Please follow the link below to fill out the application.
Seal of Biliteracy Testing Opportunity
An Ohio Seal of Biliteracy recognizes graduating seniors who can demonstrate high levels of proficiency in English and at least one other language. Canal Winchester High School gives this award by following state-established guidelines.
A Seal of Biliteracy is a statement that is added to a student's transcript at the time of graduation that reads, "<Student Name> is awarded the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy for demonstrating high levels of proficiency in English and <world language>.”
To be eligible for a Seal of Biliteracy assessment, a student must be within 15 months of graduation.

Seal of Biliteracy Spring Testing Date(s):
- Tuesday, March 1st for Seniors
- Tuesday, March 15th for Juniors
Students must complete this form NO LATER than Friday, February 18 to indicate interest in taking the AAPPL. Cost of test is $20 and must be paid in the CWHS office by Friday, February 25 in order to sit for the test.

Apply for the Erkis/Berliner Scholar Athlete Award
The Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus is again offering the annual Erkis/Berliner Scholar Athlete Award. The Don Erkis & Lou Berliner High School Jewish Scholar/Athlete Award is named for two outstanding community leaders who had a love and respect for young people and a vision about the importance of becoming the leaders of the future. The endowment for this award is provided by the family of Don Erkis in memory of Don and Lou, both members of the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
The award has been established to recognize local high school Jewish athletes who have excelled in the classroom and in the athletic arena. The outstanding male and female applicants will each receive a scholarship award in the amount of $1,000. Scholar Athletes will submit information about academics (3.0+ grade point average), athletics, college attending and community leadership.
All the applicants and the winners will be honored at the JCC Teen Awards Night on Sunday, May 1 at 2 p.m. All qualified candidates will also receive a one year JCC Membership, a $50 gift certificate, a fitness evaluation by JCC Personal Trainers, and recognition in each applicant’s local suburban newspaper.
