College and Career Expo - Tuesday, 10/22
Please plan to join us on Tuesday, October 22nd, for the
4th Annual RHHS College and Career Expo Night at RHHS!
Richmond Hill High School is hosting its 4th annual College and Career Expo Night on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, 6:00 to 7:30 PM in our East Cafeteria. This event is designed to provide an opportunity for students and parents to meet with college representatives from around the state of Georgia - as well as local organizations and businesses in our area - to gain more knowledge on various institutions and post-secondary work options.
During the evening, students and parents will be given the opportunity to ask questions related to the following:
• Admissions Process
• Financial Aid
• Student Life
• Athletics
• Popular Majors
• Campus Resources
• Work opportunities after high school
• On the job training opportunities after high school
• Mentoring resources for high school students
Please join us for this event!
College Knowledge Week
This coming week, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear college and post-secondary gear to help spark conversations with students about next steps after high school. Many teachers actively plan for this week and intentionally share great information and resources.
Students are encouraged to ask questions and let us help them get answers.
We love our College Knowledge week and can't wait to see all of the tech school/military/college spirit shirts!
Academic Resume Writing Workshop to be offered at RHHS
October 19 during Saturday School an Academic Resume Writing Workshop will be offered to Seniors to help with College Applications and College Scholarships. This workshop will be offered 800 am to 1130 am. Sign up is required through Google Forms. The link is listed below

Drama Club sponsoring Haunted Forest
Financial Aid Workshop - October 28th
Please join us on Monday, October 28th from 6-7:30 as we welcome our guest speaker from the Georgia Student Finance Commission, Ms. Carol Lott. Ms. Lott will be available to present important information about the financial aid process and how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. Please bring your laptops, your 2018 income tax returns, and W-2 Forms! You will need these as Ms. Lott works with you to complete the FAFSA.
AP exam registration - Exam Fees due by October 31.
AP Exam registration is earlier this year for students in first semester or year-long AP classes. Exam fees are due by October 31 for students who are taking first semester or year-long courses. Once again, for the 2020 AP exams, students at Richmond Hill High School will be registering online. This registration will only take a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access. Once students complete their registration on Total Registration, they should proceed to myap.collegeboard.org to log into their AP Online Classroom where they will find lots of resources their teachers are using to enhance the learning experience.

During weekly advisement the next four weeks, we will be studying the second mindset: "Passion First". The first topic in this unit, "Focus on Strengths", will be completed in advisement next week.
