Fall Chili Cook Off! Please join us for a staff potluck and chili cook off! Compete in your best chili dish, macaroni, etc OR just bring a dish to share.

Thanksgiving Food Deliveries

We are asking all staff members to work in teams of two to deliver 2 Thanksgiving baskets. Please sign up in teams here.

The official AdvancEd Accreditation Engagement Review for the Mooresville Graded School District will take place February 19, 2019 - February 21, 2019. Please mark your calendars! On these dates, the AdvancEd Engagement Review Team will come to Mooresville and visit, formally observe, as well as interview all stakeholders in each of our schools.

Our Leadership Team is working through the accreditation process and documentation that leads up to this visit.

Please be sure to include our off site tutoring program in your weekly newsletters and encourage students to attend.

"Please join us for free tutoring/homework help at the Selma Burke Center every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6:30-7:30-with our own EMIS teachers volunteering as tutors!

Tutors are also available at the MeadowLark Community Center on Tuesday/Thursday from 3:45-4:30pm. Please join us!"

The EMIS annual Thanksgiving Food Drive is November 6-15. Each class has been assigned a certain item to collect for this drive. Students are also welcome to bring in a $5 or $10 Food Lion gift card. Each canned/boxed item will count for 1 point and gift cards will count a point for every dollar. The winning class to collect the most of their assigned food item or Food Lion gift card will receive a pizza party. Please sign up to deliver here.
