This is a special interest workshop for current and soon-to-be educational leaders seeking to leverage their passions and interests to seek grants to improve student outcomes. Participants will explore education grant policies, implications, and action steps to increase chances of receiving grant funding for K-12 classrooms and beyond. Participants will learn grant researching and writing hacks, learn through completing a grant pitch and earn a grant writing digital badge. Eligible participants can also earn Act 48 credit.

The workshop will be lead by an award-winning teacherpreneur and founding humanities educator at the U School. Reed is a BMe Awardee. Through grants and crowdfunding, he incubated and developed BoysWriteNow and GirlsonFire, and the Bus 101 Side Hustle Accelerator for youth and fledging adult creators. Reed's work has been published by Heinemann Digital Campus, The English Journal, and Research in the Teaching of English.
