Miss Patrick has made the following nominations:
Year 7:
We would like to celebrate 7CA for brilliant ensemble work! Students had to listen and respond to other members of their group to perform traditional samba rhythms. Miss Patrick was particularly impressed with the way students approached this task and how supportive students were of one another – this led to strong performances, well done!
Also nominated is Harvey in 7CO. After joining ukulele club Harvey was brave enough to perform the chord pattern we learnt in front of his whole form – who were really impressed with his new skills – well done!
Year 8:
Miss Patrick has enjoyed listening to Year 8 create ensemble pieces for djembe. A special mention goes to Joel, Jack, David, Riley and Toby in 8ST for using signals effectively to indicate when the music needs to change. The finished piece sounded fabulous!
They have also been perfecting their djembe pieces ready for the final performance. A special mention goes to Dani in 8TA this week for her creative syncopated ostinato and for also helping a fellow student to create their own ostinato – excellent work!
