Rugby League
On Thursday 22nd April the U11's Liverpool Zone Rugby League Championships were held at Camden. Jerekiah George and Issac Parker represented Liverpool and finished 1st in their pool after defeats to Razorback 10-0, Horsley 40-0 and Green Valley 24-0. After not having a point scored against them in all 3 games, these victories progressed into the semi-final to play Bankstown. We defeated them 30-18, setting up a Grand Final against Campbelltown.
In addition, a big congratulations to Jerekiah George who has been selected to play for Sydney South West in the PSSA U11's Rugby League Tournament in Kiama later this term.

NAPLAN Online 2021
Dear parents and carers,
The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is a point in time assessment of literacy and numeracy skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life. Students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 participate in the annual NAPLAN tests in writing, reading, conventions of language (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy.
Our school will be participating in NAPLAN Online between 11 and 21 MAY 2021.
In preparation for NAPLAN Online, our school will be participating in practice tests between 22 MARCH and 1 APRIL. The practice tests give students an opportunity to become familiar with the test format, functions and tools of the online tests in a test environment. The practice tests are not an assessment of student ability and will not be marked.
Excessive preparation for NAPLAN Online is not recommended. Students can use the public demonstration site to familiarise themselves with the types of questions and tools available in the NAPLAN Online tests.
If you have any questions about NAPLAN Online, please contact your child’s teacher.

Attendance Matters
Regular attendance at Liverpool West Public School is essential if students are to maximise their potential.
Regular attendance helps students to:
- develop a sense of belonging
- develop and maintain friendships
- be more engaged at school
- progress with their learning
- be more aware of career and life options.
Every day counts. Missing just one day a fortnight can amount to four weeks of lost learning over a year. Over their school life, this can equal one year of missed learning. The information below outlines responsibilities of parents/carers, students and schools with some very interesting figures regarding the impact of days and minutes lost.
COVID-19 - Good Hygiene
The best way to protect yourself from COVID-19 is the same way you would protect yourself from catching the flu or other respiratory illnesses. Remember there are simple steps to help stop the spread and good hygiene is in your hands. We have some pictures below to help stay safe during this time.
Charlie Boots
We have over 18 different craft kits, including; Tie-Dye kits, mechanical STEM models, wooden build and paint models, value-packed art supply kits to suit primary and high school students, paint your own skateboard kits, and many more!
We are trying to get the word out to parents and children so they can learn more about Charlie Boots and get great value from their NSW Creative Kids Voucher.
It would be great to share our flyer via a handout (which we're happy to pay for) or advertise in your newsletter, so please let me know if this is possible and how many flyers you would need.
