WE"VE GOT THIS!
Hello Spring Creek Families,
Thank you to those of you who attended Back to School Night last week. In case you missed the general presentation, here is the link. ttps://youtu.be/13qj1ocHIgc Please also take a few minutes to watch our Rincon Valley Education Foundation video.
PG&E PSPS Events planned for Tonight and possible the next few days.
I know you received a message from our Superintendent, Dr. Tracy Smith, regarding the PSPS events that will take place in the next few days. Families without power, please contact your teacher and do what the teachers have assigned your student to do as independent work. If students complete the independent work, they will be counted as present for that day regarding attendance. If you have power, please plan on attending zoom as usual. Spring Creek and Matanzas are expected to have power during this PSPS. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your teacher, me or our office manager. Please be mindful when teachers are on Zoom, they can't reply right away as they are teaching. They will reply as soon as they can. Stay strong and know that we are in this together as a school community and we are here to support each other.
School Site Council (SSC)
Spring Creek Matanzas is looking for Site Council members. Site Council will serve in an advisory capacity to lead our 2021-22 reconfiguration decisions. Our first meeting will be on Wednesday September 30th at 9:30. Please notify me at skearney@rvusd.org
of your interest to join.
September's character focus is RESPECT. We will continue our culture at Spring Creek of character building and inclusion by having a monthly virtual assembly for all our students. Information is forthcoming.
With your child's teacher at your fingertips with the Remind app, I request that you limit messaging your child's teacher outside of school hours. The best teacher is one who is rested and rejuvenated from time away from school business. They care deeply for your child and often give more at their own expense. Be mindful with Remind messages and email, and know that teachers have 24 hours to respond to you.
If you know that your child will be absent from class, please call the office 545-1771 and inform our office manager, Mrs. Hall or our clerk, Mrs. Ausiello. Sending a message to the teacher is kind, but does not replace calling the office to report the absence, tardy, or early out.
Cheetah Strong,
Shawne Kearney
