Kindergarten Registration

You must register your child in the school he/she is zoned to attend. Please call your school for details and times. If you are not sure which elementary school is your child's home school, click here first to find out.

Please note: your child MUST be 5 years old by August 31, 2023, in order to attend kindergarten in 2023-2024.

MGSD is excited to offer a dual language immersion (DLI) option for incoming kindergarten students at all three elementary schools. Space is limited, so please contact your elementary school about enrollment availability. Click here (English) or (Spanish) to learn more about DLI.

Although enrollment will be completed online, there are some documents that are required to be sent to your student's home school. You will have the option of uploading these documents as you complete the online enrollment process. They also can be sent electronically or dropped off at the school office after you have completed enrollment online. Those documents are:

• Certified Birth Certificate (the person's name enrolling the child must be on the Birth Certificate)
• Two proofs of residency, one of which MUST be a current lease agreement or utility bill (no cell phone bills) dated within the last 60 days. Secondary proofs of residency may include a driver's license, bank or credit card statement, W2 or payroll stub, or mortgage payment, all dated within the past 60 days.
• Immunization Records
• Health Assessment
• Home Language Survey
• Custody Papers (if applicable)

MGSD offers on-site, licensed child care. You can register your kindergartener in our BASP once you enroll him/her in school. Registration is on a first come first serve basis and submission of an application does not guarantee your spot.
