New Friend at GES

Have you heard? We have a new friend at GES! Meet Hamilton the hamster! He is our new school pet! He arrived as a special delivery from Humphrey the Hamster! Students have enjoyed visiting Hamilton and seeing him around the school.

Who is Humphrey?

Humphrey is the main character in the book “Friendship According to Humphrey.” We are participating in an initiative called “One School, One Book.” The entire school will be reading the same book! We will have a lot to talk about and we want our GES families to join in on the fun!

Humphrey Hoopla

We kicked off this exciting journey by having a school pep rally! The characters Humphrey and Og joined us too! Students learned about “One School, One Book.” Every student received a book and a reading schedule. Teachers and students starting reading chapters 1 and 2 last week. Trivia questions will be asked each morning on the announcements!

Mark Your Calendars

Our One School, One Book family night will take place on February 23 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. This night will provide fun activities for the whole family as we celebrate our book “Friendship According to Humphrey.” More information along with an RSVP will be sent out soon!
