itslearning Migration Update
On Monday, June 13, at 8:00 a.m., access to migrated files from itslearning will be open for teacher retrieval though a secure HCPS drive. Your Technology Support Specialist will provide directions on how to access this drive and migrate personal content into the shell course(s) that are already created in Canvas. Access to these files will be available through early fall.
Migration Office Hours will be available for any teacher who needs assistance.

- Thursday, June 16 - 2:00-4:00 p.m.

What Will the Migrated Content Look Like?

Professional Development for Canvas
Time is winding down to complete the professional development courses in Canvas. Please be sure to register (Hector) and complete the required professional development sessions (Canvas PD).
HCEA Certificated: All HCEA Certificated Employees (Instructional Staff, including teachers, counselors, social workers, psychologists, and related service providers).

- Part 1: Global Navigation Basics
- Part 2: Introduction to Modules
- Part 3: Migration Preparation and Professional Learning Plan
- Open until June 30
- Digital Tools and Resources: Canvas Integration
- Using Canvas Assignments
HCEA Certificated Employees may choose to complete the two required sessions OUTSIDE of their contractual day and receive a stipend of $75 ($25/hour) when the signature assessment is completed satisfactorily. HCEA Certificated Employees may choose to complete the two required sessions DURING the contractual day during self-directed time. NO stipend is available for this option.
HCEA Certificated Employees may choose to participate in an additional six choice Canvas professional learning sessions.
For HCEA Certificated Employees, stipends of $37.50 (based on negotiated rate of $25/hour) for each session completed outside of the contractual day will be processed.
Education Support Professionals: For Education Support Professionals may choose to participate in an additional six choice Canvas professional learning sessions. For any work successfully completed after April 19, hourly rate for 1.5 hours for each session completed outside of the contractual day will be processed.

How Do I Access Canvas Professional Development?
Access Canvas via harford.instructure.com (consider bookmarking for off network access). The Professional Development content is in the HCPS Canvas PL course in Canvas.
Check for PD Completion in Hector
As Signature Assessments are graded in Canvas, completion of Modules will be marked in Hector. Check the status of your PD completion in Hector.

Office Hours
