FULLER FAMILY NEWS

From the Principal's Desk
Hello Fuller Family!
As the holiday season approaches, we're excited to bring you some fantastic events to make this time even more special for our Fuller Elementary community. Get ready for some festive fun with our upcoming activities:
PTO Movie Night: Mark your calendars for Friday, December 8th, at 6:15 PM! We'll be screening the beloved classic, "Polar Express." It's a perfect opportunity to bring the family together for a cozy evening of holiday magic.
Pancake Breakfast and Pictures with Santa: Join us on Saturday, December 9th, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM for a delightful Pancake Breakfast and Pictures with Santa! For families that need a quieter experience, we'll have a sensory-friendly Santa session starting at 8:30 AM. We're also reaching out to our generous Fuller families for donations to make this event even more special. If you can, please drop off the following items this week:
Pre-K/Kinder: Plates
1st/2nd: Cups and silverware
3rd/4th/5th: Breakfast juices and Milk
Dress Up Days: We've got some exciting dress-up days lined up over the next few weeks. Take a look at the attached flyer for all the details. It's a great way to show off your holiday spirit and add a touch of joy to our school days.
We appreciate your ongoing support and contributions to our school community. Let's come together to make these events memorable for our children and families.
Remember, We are Fuller, We are Family!

ATTENDANCE
Here at Fuller, our campus wide attendance goal is 96%.
During the first nine weeks of school, five grade levels met or exceeded the campus' attendance goal.
Here at Fuller, we will continue to recognize attendance, engage students and families, monitor attendance data, provide early outreach and respond to barriers of attendance.
Families, please remember a habit of attendance is a school readiness skill. If your child is going to be absent, please notify your child's classroom teacher and our campus registrar sharrison@aubreyisd.net.

Arrival and Dismissal
*** Bikers must walk their bikes across crosswalks and on school property ***
We also ask that bike riders walk their bikes when on campus for safety of all.
Thank you for your attention to this.
Dismissal Issue
When the cars park in the red marked areas, vehicles exiting the car line cannot exit safely without coming out in the street. So to prevent any accidents, I will be placing 6 cones in the area. I have suggested to parents who parked there, to pull up to the school zone sign and park there.
I have included a map of the location with "NO PARKING IN RED AREAS" on the map.
Important Information
- Anyone entering the building MUST be prepared to show ID BEFORE entering
- IDs or car tags will be checked at dismissal for car and walk ups.
- Please label all jackets, lunch boxes, and water bottles.
- Transportation changes must be sent to FESTransportation@aubreyisd.net by 2PM daily.
- No visitors for lunch until after Labor Day.
- Instruction begins at 7:40 (students MUST be in seats by then)
- School day ends at 3:15
If you have any questions, email Mr. Smith at n.smith@aubreyisd.net

Attendance
Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance.
A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.
In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.
