On Thursday, September 14th, Albright students have an opportunity to represent our school in the Willowbrook Cross Country Invitational meet with the feeder schools from the area. This is a unique opportunity for our AMS students and not related to the Salt Creek Valley Conference season which will take place in the spring.

This Meet will take place at the Lombard Commons- 433 E St Charles Rd, Lombard, IL 60148

@ 4:30pm -6:30pm

• Please remember to call your student in if they are absent or late for any reason. You can call the absence line and leave a message or email kbeckwith@saltcreek48.org.
• Remind students to bring all supplies, water bottles, and lunches with them to school. We have parents dropping too many items off at school and that is interrupting the learning day for students.
• Set a reminder to also charge your chromebook daily.

• September 22nd- Half Day of School- AMS dismissal @10:53am

6th Grade

● Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination: within 12 months prior to 1st day of school, due by Oct. 15th ○ Complete, up-to-date immunization record (see box below for required vaccines for 6th grade)** ○ Health history portion completed by parent/guardian ○ Exam portion completed by doctor, including Diabetes Screening ○ Note: A sports physical does NOT satisfy this requirement.

● Illinois Dental Examination: dated within 18 months of due date, due by May 15th

(Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (DTaP, Tdap) 1 dose of Tdap on or after the 11th birthday. Meningococcal Disease (MCV4) 1 dose of MCV4 on or after the 11th birthday.)

Sports Physicals

Students Participating in Sports (5th-8th grade) If your child will be trying out for any sport (including intramural), they must have an IHSA Pre-Participation Examination (“Sports Physical”) on file prior to tryouts. Sports physicals are valid for 1 year and must be current throughout the entire sports season that your child is planning to participate in. 6 th graders may use their Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination in lieu of a sports physical, however a sports physical CANNOT be used in lieu of the Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination requirement.

**Religious/Medical Exemptions: If your child does not receive immunizations for religious reasons, a parent and healthcare provider must complete the “Illinois Certificate of Religious Exemption to Required Immunizations and/or Examinations” form prior to the first day of school. This form may not be used for personal or philosophical reasons, as Illinois does not allow such exemptions.

Salt Creek District 48 has adopted a new emergency protocol response from the I Love U Guys Foundation. This is a program that has been adopted by many of the schools within DuPage County. Over the summer, the administrative team attended training on the protocol and is passing along the training to all staff. We also want to make families aware of the five different protocols so you can be familiar with the language you may hear your child or the school use.

  Please join us 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟖 in the Albright Cafeteria at 7 pm for the Room Party Planner meeting! Are you interested in helping plan or attend your student's room parties? We are excited to share plans with you, help you get involved and hear your ideas!

  Please enter through the athletics & events doors on the south side of the building (adjacent to the soccer field). Immediately following is the monthly FTC meeting! You are more than welcome to join us to see what FTC is all about and what we have planned for this school year!
