PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Pleasant Run Elementary Families:
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our College Go Spirit Week. Students and staff enjoyed seeing everyone dressed up throughout the week. My favorite was career day! Be sure to check out the pictures below.
The Metropolitan School District of Warren Township will conduct annual Parent/Teacher conferences for children in grades K-4 Tuesday, October 22nd. Fifteen-minute Virtual conferences will be scheduled from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Thursday, October 22, 2020.
We hope our Pleasant Run parents will take advantage of this opportunity to meet with their child’s teacher to discuss student progress and goals for the school year. Report cards for the first grading period will be discussed and reviewed at this time. Teachers will also share tips on how you can help your child be successful in school.
In order that conferences are set at a time convenient for all concerned, we are requesting your help. Please indicate your preference on the attached form and return to school no later than Friday, October 2, 2020. If you have more than one child in school, please return a form to each teacher.
As part of our transition to a new Student Information System (SIS), our parent portal has changed from Tyler 360 to ParentVUE by Synergy. Parent accounts could not be transferred to the new SIS so Synergy ParentVUE accounts must be created by a parent. Report cards will not be printed this year so it is important that all parent accounts are created. If your account hasn’t been activated, step by step instructions will be coming home with your student today.
Stay Strong, Stay Awesome, Stay Healthy!
Mr. Koomler
VIRTUAL LEARNING
Starting Monday, September 21st full time VIRTUAL K-12 students and ALTERNATING DAY 6-12 students will be required to mark their own attendance in Canvas on days they are not in their school building. Staying active and engaged in each Canvas course is critical for learning and success both short term and long term. Schools and teachers will communicate additional information including sharing tutorials that detail the simple process students will take to mark themselves present for each class period.

CONFERENCES: Conferences will take place after Fall Break. Families will meet with their first quarter teacher to celebrate their efforts in the first quarter. October 22nd is a non-school day for all students in Warren Township due to Parent Teacher Conferences. (October 22nd is NOT an Enrichment Day.)
***ALL FAMILIES should have a conference with their first quarter teacher. This means that some students will be in a new learning environment while having conferences with their first quarter teacher.
