Canned Food Drive and Turkey Round-Up!
Thank you to our amazing Lesher community for all of your donations during our NJHS sponsored canned food drive and turkey round-up! We were able to provide over 1000 nonperishable food items and over 45 turkeys to our local food bank. You made a difference!
Holiday Art Gala
Hello Lesher Art Families,
In conjunction with the PTO we will be holding an Art Gala for parents to kick off the Holiday season. It will be a chance to dress-up, have fun snacks, drink a mocktail, view Lesher 8th grade art work and even bid on your favorite piece(s) as holiday gifts or just treat yourself to this selective showing of Lesher artists.
8th Grade students will be working in class to create works of art to submit for this event. As this will be a juried art show, not all work will be selected for this event. If selected, students have agreed to donate their work to help us raise money that goes towards Teacher Grants here at Lesher. This is a wonderful way we can contribute back to our community as artists as well as celebrate some of the amazing artists we have here at Lesher before they go off to high school.
As I mentioned, the purpose of the gala is to raise funds for the PTOs Teacher Grants. Last year's grants paid for new equipment for all of the P.E. Classes, new sewing machines for the art class (yay!!), novels for language class, software for the football team, and more. In the past these grants have covered heart rate monitors, e-readers, sphero robots, and other resources that help Lesher teachers go above and beyond.
I hope you can join us!
We do have limited capacity, so please RSVP using the evite link below and put this event on your calendar for the evening of December 1st.

Laptop Restart
This week, updates have been rolled out to all student laptops. To apply these updates, you'll be required to restart your laptop multiple times. To determine if a restart is necessary, click on the Windows button; if prompted, choose "Update and Restart" or "Update and Shut Down." Ensure your laptop is plugged in and charging before initiating the restart. The process will take approximately 20-30 minutes, with some restarts potentially lasting several hours. Keep the screen open throughout the update. Note that these updates will occur on the second Tuesday of each month. If you encounter any problems or have issues, feel free to reach out to Ed Tech Coordinator Becky Knips at rknips@psdschools.org. Thank you!
