Appropriate Dress

As we move into fall and it gets colder out please make sure your students are appropriately dressed. All students go outside everyday unless it is -10 degrees below windchill.

**Start preparing for winter weather too as it could come earlier than anticipated.

Meet Mrs. Ricter!

I am a special education teacher at MPS

This is my 1st year at MPS, but it is my 33rd year of teaching.

My hobbies are reading, watching my children’s activities and gardening/canning

I have one daughter, Rori, who is a freshman at BSC.

I have one sone, Gabe, who is a sophomore at Carrington High School

I am very excited to be at Minnewaukan Schools and really have enjoyed everyday!!

Meet Mrs. Thompson!

I am the first grade para.

I have worked at MPS for 17 years.

My hobbies include gardening, sewing, reading, baking, and time with my grandchildren.

I have 5 kids and 7 grandkids!

Meet Ms. Hannah!

My name is Hannah Anderson. After i graduated college at Trinity Bible College i came to work at Minnewaukan. My job title at the Minnewaukan Public school is Library Assistant, and you can also find me in the lunchroom during breakfast and lunch. This is the beginning of my ninth year working at MPS. I love to read, walk, take care of my farm animals and watch Netflix. I have a very close knit family who I love spending time with.

Labeling Items

Make sure to label student's items with their names or initials so they can be easily identified if they lose them.

Wacipi Day- MPS Mini Pow Wow

We will be having a special celebration on October 14th around 1:15 in the school gym. The high school culture committee has named this day MPS Wacipi. All family member are welcome to join us for this celebration.

**If you have a student who dances and would like to participate on this day please call the office to sign them up!

Counselor's Corner

As we wrap up the first two months of school that have flown by, I get to reminisce on the impact and work that your students have done already. Looking forward into October we will be continuing to work towards creating a safe and healthy environment for everyone to succeed in by focusing our classroom lessons on defining bullying, reporting bullying, and replacement behaviors for bullying.

Student of the Month

Each grade level will be eligible to receive student of the month.

They will be recognized on the school website and FB page as well as receive a small reward for their accomplishment.

Student engagement staff will look for when nominating a student of the month:

Good Attendance!
Completion of Work!
Collaborates well with peers and staff!
Follows school expectations!
