Corbett Grade School
June 2023
Hello Summer Break!
Dear Families,
Just like that and our 2022-23 school year has come to an end. As I reflect on the year, I think about how much progress our students have made in so many areas. They have grown as readers, writers, and mathematicians. Many have made new friendships and have worked to maintain old ones. They have made progress in their ability to get a long with others and understand other people's perspectives. Many of our students have increase their level of independence in the classroom and others are now taking on more responsibility in their own learning.
Students and their families are now officially on Summer Break! We hope that you all take time to relax, spend time outside, visit family and friends, and READ!!

Debbie Baker Retires
Mrs. Baker is retiring after this school year. As our health assistant for the past eleven school years, she has taken great care of the students in our district. She provides support with injuries, calls parents when students are not feeling well, administers medication, and helps with arrival and departures.
Her plan is to travel to Africa with her husband Tim. They are looking forward to the adventure and spending time with their daughter who lives there. In addition to traveling, Mrs. Baker is looking forward to spending time with her grandchildren and working in her garden.
We will miss her smile and we hope that she comes back for a visit next school year!
