Governor Winslow School is blessed to have wonderful food service providers. Mrs. Suzio, Mrs. Murphy, and Mrs. Olson work extremely hard to create nutritious and delicious meals for our students. In honor of National School Lunch Week, we celebrate this great team and appreciate all they do.

Picture make-up/retake day is scheduled for Thursday, October 19 for any student who was absent on Picture Day or who was not satisfied with his/her original photo. For all picture retakes please return the original portrait package.

GWS will continue to use the PickUp Patrol (PUP) App to help us better manage our dismissal process. PUP allows parents to electronically make daily dismissal changes from a computer or smart phone. Families that have not already registered will receive an email with login information.

PLEASE LOGIN AND CONFIRM YOUR CHILD'S DEFAULT DISMISSAL PLANS.

Lunch will be served at all elementary schools this year free of charge.

Navigating Aspen & Canvas for Parents and Caregivers

Please join the Marshfield Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) for an interactive tutorial designed to benefit all parents and caregivers in Marshfield.

What: Navigating Aspen & Canvas for Parents and Caregivers

When: Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 6:30 pm

Where: Presentation Center at Marshfield High School (Enter through the gym/auditorium doors and follow signs)

Who: For Parents and Caregivers (not students)

This will be an in-person, Bring-Your-Own Laptop*, interactive event. We will begin with a short presentation and then will proceed with an interactive session on the computers to help everyone navigate Aspen and Canvas. These platforms are used more extensively and differently as the students progress through the grades so this will also help you prepare for those moving up to a new school.

* Aspen Accounts: Please verify that you have a working Aspen login prior to the event. If you need assistance, email Aspen@mpsd.org by October 16th to request your login information. A limited number of Chromebooks will be available to borrow.

This event is sponsored by the Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC). All of our events are open to everyone and this presentation in particular will prove helpful to all parents and caregivers throughout the district. We hope you can make it.

The 7th Annual Marshfield Elementary School Invitational will take place Wednesday 10/25/2023 at the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club (37 Proprietor's Drive, Marshfield) with check-in beginning at 3:00 PM. The Center for the Advancement of STEM Education (CASE) invites you to Open Lab Night 2023, an event for the entire community, especially K-12 students. Open Lab Night features STEM activities and demonstrations. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Parking is available in the Bridgewater State University Parking Garage. The BSU Observatory may be open until 9:00 PM (weather permitting).
