Dear Lubbock-Cooper Middle School Families,
We have made it the final week of the 2022/23 School Year! I hope this weekend everyone is able to rest and rejuvenate. Next week Monday and Tuesday are normal school days and Wednesday is finals exemption day with Thursday, a half-day, a make-up day.

Yearbooks are Here!
Yearbooks can be picked up in the office starting Monday! We have extra copies that can be purchased in the office for $40. There are limited quantities so it is first come, first serve! If you have any questions regarding the yearbook you can call the front office or email Mrs. Castaneda at mcastaneda@lcisd.net
Locker Clean out!
Will be Monday and Tuesday next week for athletes.

PRN Medications
Non-prescription medication will be sent home May 17-May 19.
Epi-pens and inhalers will be sent home on May 22.
Physical Requirements for next year
As we near the end of the school year, remember that all students planning to participate in 6th grade pre-athletics, all 7th-12th grade athletes, and all 9th-12th grade marching band members MUST have a new physical on file to participate in these activities in the 2023-24 school year! Physicals must be dated after April 1, 2023 to be valid for the 2023-24 school year. If you have questions, please email iwimberley@lcisd.net.
A Week With The Stars Opportunity
Please join us this summer as we celebrate our 11th annual DigiC@mp! This year’s theme is “A Week with the Stars.” Students will be writing, creating and directing their own stop motion animation movies! Campers will receive breakfast each morning, a camp t-shirt, and a chance to win some fun door prizes!
Summer Theater Camp
The LCP Theatre Department is offering a Theatre Camp June 26th-30th, 2023 at LCMS & LCHS. This link https://url.lcisd.net/778 provides all of the information and registration with the camp.
Cooking Camp Opportunity
Free Summer Camp for Middle School Students!
This is a free camp for middle school students to explore hands-on many career opportunities in the medical field.
Casas for CASA
Lubbock-Cooper High School's advanced construction students built two playhouses to be raffled off during the annual Casas for CASA raffle. Playhouses #2 and #3 were built by our LCHS students and can be seen at the 98th and Quaker United Market Street. Please consider supporting this worthy cause by purchasing a raffle ticket and stopping by Market Street to see all of the cute playhouses.

School Information
Absences - Parents are to report student absences including early outs/late arrivals in their Skyward Family Access via an attendance request. This can be done in the app or on a desktop. Click here to view a how to video When submitting an Early Out or Late Arrival absence request, please be sure to UNSELECT the ‘all day check mark’. This ensures the attendance office knows what time your child will be leaving and/or arriving. Campus attendance email is for submitting documentation, such as a doctors note. If you have any questions please contact Annie Young ayoung@lcisd.net or by calling the front office.

Outside Food Delivery - Due to security concerns, no outside entity (DoorDash, Pizza delivery, etc.) will be allowed to drop off lunches for students. Parents/Guardians may bring a lunch for their students. Lunches can be dropped off in the front office. Please be sure your student knows they are getting lunch so they can come pick it up in the office.
Skyward - Lubbock-Cooper ISD provides parents access to their children's records via our student information system, Skyward Family Access. Skyward Family Access maintains an open line of communication between school and home, and allows parents and students the opportunity to view grades, attendance information, schedules, calendars, and additional information any time of day. Student Badges - All students must have their badges on them at all times. Badges will be used everyday to include: Bus Riding, Lunch Purchase, Library Checkout, etc.
Student Dress Code - As we return from summer break, please remind your students of our dress code policy. Student Dress Code
Transportation - If your child will be riding the bus this year, you MUST complete the Transportation Request Form that can be found here. Student badges will be used to ensure the safety of your students this year. Campuses will be able to know exactly where and when students are dropped off and/or picked up.
