Principal's Message
Hello Families,
I was thrilled to start my day today with our Black Excellence Breakfast to honor our Black students that have showed excellence through earning a 3.5 or higher GPA for Quarter 2. This achievement takes a strong work ethic, a focused effort and a value of learning. We applaud these young scholars for their commitment to their academic progress. We hosted a catered breakfast for these students and their families to celebrate this achievement. A special shout out to the wonderful food provided by a local Black owned catering company, Duces! It was delicious!
Our Black History Month planning team consists of SUN Coordinator, Elisa Prieto, AP TaLisa Green and teacher Heather Siegfried and their efforts for this event, as well as the many events this month, are greatly appreciated.
We are all looking forward to continuing the celebration next Tuesday at our BHM Celebration Assembly, which will highlight performances from Jefferson HS students and our own talented students.
If you have some time to spare on Saturday, February 24th, our OG Supporters have a Gardening Team coming from 10:00-12:00 to the clean-up of our garden. Please join if you can.

Title I
Ockley Green is currently a Targeted Supports for Improvement (TSI) identified school. In previous years, Ockley Green has also been identified as a Title I school. For the 2024-25 school year, we are again designated as a Title I school. This added designation is a welcomed source of additional funding that will provide us the ability to continue growing our Academic, Behavioral and Social-Emotional systems of support. To learn more about how a school is identified and what it means, click here or find more information on the Funded Program webpage.
