Dear Village Families,

COUNTDOWN: 4 DAYS!

INFORMATION FOR MAY 3-JUNE 4

The big day is upon us! We can’t wait to see our Village Eagles on Monday, May 3!

If Your Child Is Remaining in Distance Learning from May 3 to June 4:

• You can pick up your Units of Study in the crates in front of the Village Office door (along Yulupa):

• Friday, April 30 from 8:30-3:00

• Monday, May 3, from 8:00-4:00

• If those times don’t work, please call the office and we’ll be happy to set up an alternate time for you.

In-Person School Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8:25-12:25, All Grades

Each Morning, Before You Arrive On Campus:

• Please screen your child for:

• Fever of 100.3 or lower

• Loss of taste or smell

• Any cold or flu symptoms

• If your child displays any of the above symptoms, please keep them home.

If Your Child Is Absent:

• Call the SCHOOL OFFICE (not the teacher): 545-5754

• Please leave detailed information about your child’s symptoms.

Snack Recess and Lunch:

• All students will have the opportunity to have an outdoor snack recess each day.

• Students can either bring a healthy snack from home, or get a snack here at school free of charge.

• All students are welcome to order a grab-and-go lunch from the cafeteria, free of charge, to take home with them.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off Information

• If you are new to in-person learning, you should have received your color group assignment from your teacher. Please contact your teacher if you do not have this information.

Map of the pick-up/drop/off color stations:

• Student drop-off is 8:10-8:25

• Student pick-up is 12:25-12:40

• Pick-Up/Drop-Off Areas

• All gates will be clearly marked with their color

• BLUE GROUP

• Gate is located along Yulupa, near the kindergarten playground

• Cars: Please drop off/pick-up along Yulupa, from the flag pole north (toward Sonoma Ave)

• Line up six feet apart (will be clearly marked)

• Follow the directions of the staff member

• GREEN GROUP

• Gate is located along Yulupa, in front of the marquee

• Cars: Please drop off/pick-up along Yulupa, from the bus zone south (toward Whole Foods) OR on the west side of Yulupa and cross the street (there will be a crossing guard!)

• Line up six feet apart (will be clearly marked)

• Follow the directions of the staff member at your gate

• YELLOW GROUP

• Gate is located along Yulupa, facing the parking lot

• Cars: Please drop off/pick up along Yulupa, alongside the parking lot

• Line up six feet apart (will be clearly marked)

• Follow the directions of the staff member at your gate

• ORANGE GROUP

• Gate is located along the drop-off loop

• Cars: Please drop off/pick-up along the drop-off loop

• Line up six feet apart (will be clearly marked)

• Follow the directions of the staff member at your gate

• PURPLE GROUP: EXTENDED CARE

• Extended care assistants will walk students to and from class

• GRUPO VERDE

• Automóviles: dejen y recojan a lo largo de Yulupa, desde el asta de la bandera hacia el sur (hacia Whole Foods) O en el lado oeste de Yulupa y cruce la calle (¡habrá un guardia de cruce!)

• Formese a seis pies de distancia (estará claramente marcado)

• Siga las instrucciones del miembro del personal en su puerta

• GRUPO AMARILLO

• La puerta está ubicada a lo largo de Yulupa, frente al estacionamiento.

• Automóviles: dejar y recoger a lo largo de Yulupa, junto al estacionamiento

• Formese a seis pies de distancia (estará claramente marcado)

• Siga las instrucciones del miembro del personal en su puerta

• GRUPO NARANJA

• La puerta se encuentra a lo largo del circuito de bajada.

• Automóviles: dejen y recojan a lo largo del circuito de entrega

• Formarse a seis pies de distancia (estará claramente marcado)

• Siga las instrucciones del miembro del personal en su puerta

• GRUPO MORADO: CUIDADO EXTENDIDO

• Los asistentes de cuidado extendido acompañarán a los estudiantes hacia y desde la clase.

If you child is going to be absent from school due illness, appointment or other reason please contact the Village School office at (707)545-5754 and press 1 for the attendance line. Please leave your child's name, teacher, the date you called, the reason for the absence. If illness please leave details of symptoms. Thank you.

If you are having technology issues and you are unable to get onto a zoom please also contact the school attendance line.

The main newsletter is sent in English to all families however, there is the option to translate it into multiple languages. If you would like to have the translated newsletter please open the newsletter in your web browser and you will see a box to the left that says "translate." Select the arrow to download the translation and choose your preferred language. A screen print is provided below for reference. Thank you!
