Shifting to Canvas: A Weekly Update

Time is winding down to complete the professional development courses in Canvas. Please be sure to register (Hector) and complete the required professional development sessions (Canvas PD).

Required Sessions:

• April 19th
• Part 1: Global Navigation Basics
• Part 2: Introduction to Modules
• Part 3: Migration Preparation and Professional Learning Plan
• Open until June 30th (Choose between inside or outside duty day in Hector)
• Digital Tools and Resources: Canvas Integration
• Using Canvas Assignments

Instructional staff may elect to complete additional choice modules outside of the duty day. Educational Support Professionals may also complete choice sessions outside of the duty day.

Register for required and choice sessions via the Hector links found in the HCPS Canvas Professional Learning course.

Access Canvas via harford.instructure.com (consider bookmarking for off network access). The Professional Development content is in the HCPS Canvas PL course in Canvas.

Check the status of your PD completion in Hector.

2. Select Click Here for My Registrations

3. Sessions that have been marked as complete will show in green.

As staff work through required and optional modules in Canvas, virtual office hours will be available Monday through Thursday afternoons. Access the full schedule.
