Parent Teacher conferences are set for today, Monday, November 7th. Conferences are set up for 10 minute timeslots and can be done via Zoom, via phone or in-person. Please reach out to your child's teacher with any additional questions you may have concerning conferences.

We received our Lifetouch school picture packages last week. Although individual student photos turned out great, I wanted to let you know that I was unsatisfied with the quality of our whole class pictures. The lighting in some of the class photos seemed too dark. I have been in contact with Lifetouch about this matter and we are in the process of figuring out a solution. If they are able to fix the issue digitally they will do so and resend updated class photos. If they can not, we will reschedule whole class photos in the spring. Thank you for your understanding and patience in this matter.

If your child was absent on picture day or if you would like your child's photo to be retaken, our photo retake day is scheduled for Monday, November 21st. As a reminder, if your child is getting their picture retaken, you must return the package that you ordered to school on November 21st.

On Monday, October 31st, East Fallowfield held a Pink-Out for breast cancer awareness month. Our students showed up to school looking pretty in pink. Collectively our staff made a $155 donation to METAvivor Research and Support Inc., an organization that raises funds for metastatic breast cancer research, support and awareness.

Last week, East Fallowfield welcomed our annual Mobile AgLab experience! Each class had a turn in the AgLab trailer to perform class science experiments and learn about agriculture. Each grade conducted the following experiments: Kindergarten - Pod to Candy, First grade - Popcorn Capers, Second grade - Colorful Bean, Third grade - Mighty Smooth Bean, Fourth grade - Pigment Power and Fifth grade - Snack Attack.

The students really enjoyed themselves and were a great audience for our facilitators. Thank you to our PTO for putting on this amazing event each year!

Mrs. Bingham's 5th graders are preparing for their next ELA Open Court theme which is Cycles. The students immersed themselves in the topic to grow their understanding of cycles in nature. Here they are creating theme posters. Way to go 5th graders!

Join us for an evening of fun! The Coatesville Area School District would like to invite you to join us at our first Connecting Coatesville event on November 10th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Coatesville Area Sr. High School. The District and organizations from our community have partnered to welcome you for an evening that promises to be both informative and fun! This is a free event and all are welcome!

Please come and join us for some good food, raffles, games, speakers, a local author, face painting, sports teams, an obstacle course and bounce houses as well as an opportunity to meet with community members to share resources that may help to meet the needs of your family beyond what can be provided within the school setting.

East Fallowfield is participating in the Phanatic About Reading initiative sponsored by Xfinity and the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phanatic About Reading program presented by Xfinity is a free, incentive-based program that encourages students in grades Pre-K through 8 to read or be read to for a minimum of 15 minutes a day to improve their literacy skills.

Each classroom received a classroom book, poster, a bookmark for each student and the reading logs have also gone home. This is a fun way to track your child's reading at home and an awesome way to make time to read with your child. Let's go Phillies!

Greetings, East Fallowfield Parents!

My name is Mrs. Joann Billman, I am the STEM teacher and will be the Science Fair Coordinator for East Fallowfield. I am here with a special announcement! The 2022-2023 Science Fair is getting ready to begin! It is exciting to watch our students learn and grow as they present a project of their own design!

All students (K-5th grades) are invited to complete an independent/at-home science fair project to be entered in the EF Elementary Science Fair. Students can work by themselves or in a team of up to three students from the same grade level. Each student or group will complete a tri-fold poster showing their project.

For students who are not ready to complete a full science fair investigation, we are offering a new Learning Fair! Here you can research anything science related and make a board on your findings. Please note, these will not be judged, but on display the night of the EF Science Fair!

The first step is simple. We are asking that you have your child accept the invitation to our Canvas page. From there they will fill out an interest form (find the East Fallowfield button), with an idea of what project they would like to investigate. The deadline for applications is November 4th. East Fallowfield Science fair will take place on January 19th, 2023. Both the Science Fair and Learning Fair participants need to fill in the interest form. From there I will give you your next steps!

Our Miss Chocolate Fundraiser pick up is set for Friday, November 11th.

Our annual A&E Clothing Drive is set for this Saturday, November 12th from 10 am - 1 pm. Please drop your donations off at the side gym door by the dumpster. Our PTO will be there to assist later in the afternoon but you are free to leave your donations at the door. Please see the flyer below for more details.

Our Highland Orchards pick-up date will be November, 21st from 4:00-5:00 pm after school, behind the building.

Fourth graders and families can get a free pass to visit lots of great national parks and attractions across the United States. It's a unique opportunity reserved especially for 4th graders, so take advantage of it while you can this year!

This year at East Fallowfield we are revamping our PBIS program and focusing on our Big East Expectations of Safety, Ownership, Acceptance and Respect. Last week, students had the opportunity to learn what these expectations look like, sound like, and feel like in different areas around the school including the classroom, cafeteria, playground, bus, hallway, and bathrooms.

Students are so excited to be rewarded for meeting these expectations with Class Dojo points. Parents please be sure to accept the Class Dojo invite from your child's teacher so you can track the great work they are doing in class.
