22 in 22 - a New Reading Challenge

What's your reading goal this year? Now is a great time to decide to read more. Thanks to all the teachers who offer time to read in class regularly, our circulation statistics continue to climb, with 5357 checkouts so far this year. How many books could we read as a whole building??

Can you read picture books for the challenge? YES. Can you read graphic novels? YES. Can you read Diary of a Wimpy Kid? YES. Whatever YOU want to read is what WE want you to read.

I'm excited to get started on my list. I'm looking forward to starting the Hawthorne Legacy, which is a sequel to The Inheritance Games, one of the Lincoln Award books this year. My favorite genres are mystery and romance. Ask me for rec's!

Students often ask me about my favorite genre - I actually don't have one. I try to vary my picks to keep my reading momentum going. So far in 2022, I've enjoyed Amanda Lovelace poetry, a few realistic fiction titles, and Jodi Picoult's new book Wish You Were Here - the first book I've read about the pandemic.
