NOVA College Rep Visit - Date To Be Determined
NACAC Virtual & In-Person College Fairs - Registration is Now Open!
All of our fairs will feature MatchMaking! At the time of registration, students will select the attributes that are most important to them in a college. They will then receive an email that best matches them to the specific colleges and universities based on the criteria they provided. Students will then reference this email on the day of the fair to connect with their best-fits! Make sure to encourage your students to register early so they can take advantage of this great new feature.
In-Person National College Fairs
NACAC is offering a limited series of in-person National College Fairs this spring. If you live in California, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey or Pennsylvania, we are coming to a city near you. If your state isn’t on this list, we may be headed your way this fall!
Virtual College Fairs
We are excited to be launching a whole new platform in 2022! The new NACAC Virtual College Fairs are a great opportunity to connect with colleges and pursue your college dreams. Have a quick video chat with a rep, drop in on a virtual presentation, send a question through chat - make a connection YOUR way!
Go now and check out a video on how it all works!
We look forward to seeing you and your students at an upcoming college fair soon!
Best wishes,
NACAC College Fairs Team

HBCU - HOWARD UNIVERSITY DEADLINE IS FEB. 1ST
As one of the leading HBCUs in the nation, Howard University has a long history of attracting students who excel at serving their communities and effecting positive change. Students who are admitted demonstrate strong personal motivation along with backgrounds of consistent academic growth and achievement.
Our first year application deadline is one week away (February 1, 2022), which is why we’d like to invite your students to apply for admission.
There are so many reasons to apply to Howard University. Here are just a few:
- A Howard University degree is globally respected. (In fact, we’re the top-ranked HBCU on U.S. News & World Report’s list of National Universities.)
- Here, you can choose from more than 120 areas of study across disciplines. Indeed, we are ranked #22 for Best Undergraduate Teaching.
- The Howard community is like a family and we have one of the most powerful alumni networks in the country.
- We’re located in the heart of Washington, D.C. — an incredible city for living, learning, and launching your career. DC is ranked in the top 5 Best Cities for Young Professionals in America.
Admission Updates
We recognize that many students may be adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and would like to offer some support for affected students to complete their HU application for admission.
The university is SAT/ACT test-optional for Fall 2022 (full policy available here). Please note that for students who elect to submit test scores, all optional test scores must be submitted officially via the testing agency.
All applicants (regardless of their admission plan and test-optional choice) are eligible for financial aid consideration with a submission of a FAFSA/HU ISFAA. For further details, including our cost of attendance, and how to apply for financial aid, please click the button below.
Fee Waiver Opportunity
So we can better respond to prospective students' questions about admission and student life at Howard, please encourage your students to complete this brief questionnaire. It should not take more than 5 minutes to complete. Their answers will not impact their eligibility for admission, but will help us improve our admission process. Please encourage your students to use the same email address as the one they will be using to submit their Common App.
Once they have submitted the survey, they will receive a fee waiver code that can be used if they have not yet submitted their first year application. The waiver is available for all eligible first year students who apply by February 1, 2022. The fee waiver can be applied in the Howard University section of the Common App, under the General section. If a student has already applied, the waiver code will not be applicable.
Admission Documents
We thank you for your support during this busy admission period! You can access all application materials and resources via our admission website, including detailed application instructions for Domestic & International Students. Once your students have submitted their HU application (and have properly assigned you as a recommender and/or linked their application to your school's document provider), they will receive an application portal email, where they can access all items you (and assigned recommenders) have submitted via the Common App (or linked third-party system), SCOIR, snail mail etc. We highly encourage electronic submissions of document (via the Common App or third party system; not via email), as our receipt of mail items may be significantly delayed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a reminder, our document deadline for first year admission is February 15, 2022. All supporting items (letters of recommendation, high school transcript(s), optional official test scores etc.) submitted electronically or postmarked by this date will be considered. Email/fax submissions of items will not be accepted.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at admission@howard.edu.
