Appreciation from the 8th Grade Dance Committee
Dear 8th grade parents,
The dance on Friday was a HUGE success, thanks to you! The kids had an amazing time and you could see from their smiles and fun pictures that it was a memorable evening.
Thanks to all of our extraordinary volunteers who made the event possible. It took a village to implement the vision and it wouldn't have come together without the efforts of so many of you.
Thank you to Ashley Wilson, Monica Goldberg, and Claudia Belo who helped chair the decorations committee. It was a tremendous undertaking. The kids were wowed that the school was magically transformed in a few short hours. Our volunteers did a fabulous job creating, organizing and dedicating their time to decorating Oak Grove. We appreciate all the extra hours prepping, building and creating that were put in by Ashley & David Wilson, Claudia & Joao Belo, Samantha & Roger Eichner, Donna & Kevin Griffith, Monica Goldberg, Jen Sahagian and Adrienne & Eric Castro. We'd like to give a big round of applause to all the 8th grade teachers. It has been such a special year for the students because of the hard work, dedication and encouragement these teachers give. It was so nice that you took the time out of your busy schedules and after a long day to help out at the 8th grade dance. The kids loved having you there and we so appreciate your support. We are also grateful for Kathy Azzato and Andrew Fenton for all their support. Oz Suarez and the custodial staff were wonderful and beyond helpful. Their efforts helped make the evening go smoothly. Thank you!
Unfortunately, there are likely a few names that have been accidentally left off. If so, we apologize, and indeed appreciate your efforts. We hope all volunteers had fun with this last 8th grade event. It is a great group of students and families. We look forward to seeing all of you at graduation. Best of luck to these amazing students!
:-) Krista Sorensen & Erin Heard

Curriculum Corner
Hello Oak Grove Community,
One of our major curriculum initiatives this year was focused around standards based reporting and sharing student learning. As we make our final decisions in this area, we are seeking input from our parent community. Please take a moment to respond to a few short questions. Please click here to access the survey.
Lost and Found Items
Parents, we have a lot of lost and found items in the Elementary and Junior High cafeterias; please be sure to stop in and check for any items your child misplaced before it gets donated at the end of the year.
